We went to Cathedral Ridge today with our daughter, her husband, his mom, my husband's sister and his 93 year old dad. Misty attended to our group and was awesome. My husband's dad is not a red wine drinker and she spoiled him with white wines that were not even on the tasting list. She was very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. We had never been to Cathedral Ridge before but will definitely be going back. Thank you Misty for the awesome experience.
Sandy and the staff are truly amazing, they always make us feel so welcome. All of the wines are so good, you would not expect a winery that does over a couple of dozen of wines to do them well but they absolutely do. The Reserve Zinfanel is out of this world. I’ve been a member for years now and this is one club that I will never let go.
I always feel like a VIP at cathedral ridge! Sandy is awesome! Always a great hostess.
Stopped by in later afternoon. Young lady was on phone in the back room. Yelled out to us that she’d be right with us. Unfortunately, after about 10 minutes we left since on one ever came out to meet the five of us. It was a nicely set up tasting room, but I’m not able to review anything else.
Great wines
Fun staff.
Do not miss this place.
My wife and I walked into this winery on 6/15/24 as we came to the area from Denver to celebrate her birthday.
We were greeted when we walked in and asked if we had reservations (which we did not), we just happened to stumble upon this winery driving through the area. The gal at the front said no problem, she can seat us after she seated the group ahead of us.
A few minutes later another person came and seated us, gave us the menu and rundown and said someone will be with us. This was at 2:43pm (I know because I texted my sister in law a picture of as as she's a wine fanatic as well). No exaggeration, we sat there without being served until 3:47pm, an hour and 4 minutes later. Nobody came to us once. We made eye contact with multiple servers, and what seemed like the manager walked by directly beside our table about 40 minutes into this ordeal and I tried to motion to her we'd like someone to come to us and ahe smiled and kept walking, it was so strange. Nobody ever came. I don't know why. They weren't overly crowded (there were multiple open tables the entire time we were there). They knew we were there and not being served (how their tasting room is set up you can see about all of the other tables). The only thing I can think is we are younger (wife is mid 20's and I'm mid-30's), we were by far the youngest people in the room, and were dressed pretty casually (we were doing waterfall hikes in the Gorge earlier in the day), and they maybe assumed we weren't about to spend much money. Which was incorrect, we are wine fanatics, and visited multiple other wineries and bought quite a few bottles that and the next day. I've never felt more unwelcome at an establishment.
Now onto their actual tasting room. Because we sat there for an hour without being attended, and because you can see all the other tables (as they're basically small picnic tables packed into a room) We visited multiple other wineries/cideries and how The Cathedral has theirs set up is very clunky. At Wy'East, the server is standing in the middle of a horseshoe bar with the patrons standing around. It allows he/she to serve people quickly, it is a fun and friendly atmosphere, and you can do a tasting as fast or slow as you like. At Marchese, they have a beautiful seating area, and the server pours the wine in carafes for you and brings it out as a flight, and again- you finish as fast or slow as you'd like. It's a beautiful atmosphere and super friendly. At Cathedral, they bring out one taste at a time. So they will come pour your first taste, then come back later to change your glasses and pour the next etc. The problem with this is its very clunky and time consuming between pours. We saw another couple get up and leave because the time it went from pour 1 to pour 2 was over 10 mins, and they got annoyed and left (again, we were close enough we could bear them talk, so we know, we aren't assuming), and other tables we saw the same. Just a strangley long time between pours. You also can't compare wines as well without being able to see the color contrast etc against the others (because you get a pour every 10-15 mins). It just seemed like a very clunky experience for the patrons getting served.
Didn't actually taste any wine so I can't comment on their wine quality.
I don't like leaving bad reviews, everyone is trying to do their job and not eveything is perfect, but I do want to let others know what I experienced here because it was out of the ordinary. I wouldn't go back here, there are many other wineries (and higher rated wineries) in the area, check them out for yourself.
Excellent, friendly service with excellent wine choices.
We stayed at rental property associated with Cathedral Ridge. It was beautiful and allowed us to enjoy each other’s company while sipping wine! So much fun!
Recommend this experience to all wine drinkers!
Loved our time at the winery with 6 friends.
The wine is excellent, ambience is wonderful.
Sandy and Valerie made the whole experience so fun!
I am a member and we were able to rent a beautiful house close the winery and got a discount too,
Highly recommend.
Sandy and Valerie were absolutely wonderful. We spent 2 1/2 hours enjoying the wine and listening to the great stories. Filled up 2 cars with wine and went back to the rental house to enjoy more wine and conversations. We will be here next year.

Cathedral Ridge is an exceptional winery, their wines are an amazing experience. I would highly encourage anyone who enjoys wine to give them a try. That being said what is one of the best things about the winery (only 2nd to their wine) is the wine club. It goes way beyond expectations. We recently had a private tasting with the manager at the Dundee tasting room Sandy. She is unbelievable and is so personable and knowledgeable. The attention to detail is second to none. The experience is part of membership with the wine club. I can't thank Sandy enough for the incredible day spent at CR tasting room. It was nothing but exceptional. The people and the wine are something to experience and I highly encourage anyone to stop by and try. Once you taste the wine and meet Sandy you'll be hooked. The club is fantastic and offers way more than you would think. Class A business and staff.
I definitely enjoyed the wine here and the hostess was beautifully knowledgeable of the wines.
I'm slightly bothered by asking you to make a reservation as a walk in.
The concern is that they ask for your email as apart of this. I was expecting to be apart of a marketing email list but this is a bit beyond that.
The site that they are using to "review" them is a massive data mining operation with a consent on use policy with a list of tracking cookies that is horrifically long.
I'm still trying to unsubscribe and in the case of their "Review" service, unsubscribing isn't even an option.
Be careful with this one.
Had a great tour and experience. Everyone was so nice and inviting. We loved visiting and became members. Thank you so much.
This was very much like a timeshare presentation, than a wine tasting experience.Honestly, will never be back. Very tacky and low class
The wine is incredible and the staff is Amazing? My wife and I love being members of such an awesome winery and you would too! Always a great time and the events are so much fun!
