I was a fan of Knudsen Vineyards' grapes long before we dropped in at their tasting room and subsequently became club members. They have traditionally provided grapes to Argyle Winery for use in their top-rated sparkling wines, and many a KnudsenVinyard Brut from Argyle has added brillince to New Years Eve and other festive occasions. Then we stopped in at the hilltop tasting room and learned about their OWN wines. They make some luscious Pinot Noirs from the surrounding hillsides, including some from vines planted in the '70s and always with a note about the clonal varieties used in each bottling, such as the clones used, the types and length of barrel aging, and the history of the vineyards from which the grapes were sourced. As a fun observation: if you've seen the Oregon Wine Country license plates with a rolling hill covered in vines, that's taken from a painting of one of the Knudsen plantings. They were one of the first vineyards to the Willamette Valley and their history is notable. We never fail to attend their Club Member Appreciation days, and have just returned from one last Saturday. Complimentary tastings and a light cheese board with snacks to highlight the food pairing potential of their wine are a lovely touch. They also do celebrations throughout the year, sometimes with live music and a variety of appetizers. It's a good club to belong to, and we love taking home a selection of the wines we've tasted there.Short version: A great tasting room, luscious wines with long Oregon history, and a great set of perks for club members.

Had a great experience and tasting. The wine and service were excellent with beautiful views. We attended the event with a dog walk through the grounds with stops for tasting along the way. The hike was mild, scenic and leisurely.Would definitely go back.

We had the most relaxing and lovely experience here. Not only is the setting beautiful, but the service was so knowledgeable, offering so much info about the wines without being intrusive to our socializing. The wines were incredible especially the Pinot noirs we tried. Great value for a tasting and I have been to many in the area.

The nicest vineyard and tasting room we have visited in Willamette Valley. This boutique winery produces superb Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines. My family and I enjoyed our wine tasting experience with food pairing while admiring the spectacular scenery. Highly recommend.

Our reservation was for a tasting & charcuterie board. We were seated at a coffee table with lounge chairs. This was a challenging arrangement for eating & drinking. The choices of cheese, meat, & nuts did not enhance the wines.

We had an outstanding experience touring the Knudsen property, walking through the vineyard to the cabin for lunch and a tasting of Knudsen wines! Highly recommend a trip while visiting in Willamette!

We had the opportunity to visit Knudsen Vineyards, one of the first Willamette Valley vineyards and the one that really demonstrated that it was economical to produce wine at scale in the Valley. Their Pinot is, quite simply, delicious. We enjoyed our stay in the tasting room and particularly enjoyed a tour and conversation with Page Knudsen. This is a vineyard well worth visiting!

We were seated in the patio with our dog and the views were fantastic. The wine was great and we did not try any foods. The servers were friendly and gave us a lot of info about their wines during the tasting. Will definitely visit again.

The garden brunch, tastings, and walk around the vineyard was a true delight! Reservations were easy to make and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The brunch food was fantastic! My partner and I really enjoyed learning about the family’s history with the land and the exciting new things they have coming up… bubbles!!!!!The Outlook and tasting room areas are beautiful and have lovely detail yet they felt comfortable and relaxing. It’s clear the Knudsen family has placed importance on welcoming visitors to their *home* and have created an environment that allows for connecting with others and enjoying the full experience. We left with an additional bottle of Pinot Noir to enjoy at home and can’t wait to get back this fall for more, including some of their events! Thank you, Knudsen Family, for a great start to our day and for the history you’re sharing with your visitors.

We came here on a wine tour with a group of ~100 to celebrate before our wedding. The Knudsen team was phenomenal, the wine was delicious, and the views were to die for. The whole experience was flawless. 10/10 would recommend

Our recent experience with this winery has been terrible. Two year ago we visited with our two children and had an amazing experience. We were drawn to this specific location because they had a $14 juice flight for kids and were considered a Family Friendly winery by the Williamette Valley Wine Association.Visiting the area with friends we decided to take them there as well. We called at noon to make a reservation for 4 adults and 5 kids and booked the juice flights. We then received a call an hour and a half later stating that we would be charged $25 for the non drinking kids. At that time we decided to forgo the juice flights. After doing so she put us on a lengthy hold and said that ‘the kids would need to stay at the table at all times and cannot move for our sanity’.We then asked them if they had issue with kids being there all together because it sounded to be an issue. She then said they like kids but 5 was just a bit too much.We suggested they reconsider the listing as family friendly and the woman on the line became very defensive.Very disappointed that this would not have just been stated from the beginning saving everyone involved time and energy.Added Comments in response to winery reaching out:While we understand Safety is the top priority of the winery it doesn’t make sense as to why the winery would be listed as ‘family friendly’ online and then make judgements as to why one family might be safer than another. My recommendation would be to remove the ‘family friendly’ listing as this appears to be false advertising. At the end of the day this winery has lost 4 adult tastings, potential purchase of wine and children’s juice challenge tastings plus further recommendations/referrals.

Cannot say enough great things about Knudsen. They hosted a big group of us for a tasting and it was an incredible experience. Their wine is delicious, their staff is fantastic and such a lovely setting for all a reasonable cost. Highly recommend this beautiful, family-owned winery.
