I love the aesthetic & atmosphere of this place, but unfortunately the service needs massive improvement. We got there when they opened, & they were not busy at all. We were told we could sit anywhere & menus were located behind us in a bin. We found a table, & waited for over 30 minutes. No one ever came to check on us or informed us that we needed to come up & order our food at the counter. After the fact, we went up to order our food & drinks, to which we were told the bar was suppose to be open but that the bartender was running late, like over an hour late. Once we ordered our food, it took 1 hour & 45 minutes to receive it. Not only was the lack of service concerning but the food was mediocre at best & way overpriced, they also didn’t bring us any utensils. This could be such an amazing establishment but unfortunately the service really left a bad taste in my mouth. Hopefully they get it together because I would love to come back & have a better experience.

Ordered 6 chicken wings and 2 beers ($33), all very tasty. Service was some of the worst I've ever had. Ate wings off a napkin until we asked for plates. Never even bothered to offer water. 6 wings took 30+ minutes to arrive. Cool atmosphere, decor, music etc, great location. The service was just so bad for ~3 pm on a Saturday. If you're going to charge $7/beer and $19 for just pretty good wings, be better.

Was excited to try this restaurant after having tried the Portland food cart before and having a good experience. Atmosphere is very cute and restaurant was reasonably clean, but the menus were pretty dingy. You order at the counter and then are prompted to leave a tip immediately , something I always find off putting as I don’t know what level or service or quality of food I’m going to receive at the onset of the experience, especially since it’s mostly self serve. It would be a lot better if you could pay at the end IMO.
We went on a Sunday and ordered around 12:15-12:30 with the restaurant being about half full. We waited 45-60 minutes for food to arrive which seemed too long for what we ordered. Cheeseburger was fine but fries very over salted. Steak and guns came with little to no steak, like you couldn’t even identify which bites were potato or steak as they were so small. Wings and brussel sprouts were good, but wings ran slightly expensive. I personally ordered both the chicken and carnita tacos, chicken being good not great whereas I couldn’t finish the small carnita one as the meat was extremely overcooked and crunchy with no flavor.
A lot of potential with location and atmosphere but the cooking could definitely be improved overall.

The worst service I’ve ever seen. The food is hit or miss but not worth the terrible service. While I was there I saw customers walk out because the little girl wouldn’t turn down the blaring music. What an unfortunate thing too because that place could be hopping if ran correctly.
This is our go-to place after a long bike ride on the Banks Vernonia trail. Chicken is always juicy and tender, and the guns are always crispy and delicious. I tried the flank steak this time, and it was cooked perfectly 👌 If you haven't stopped in for some good grub, then you're missing out.
We sat outside because it was a nice day and it was great. The inside has a super cute bar. The food was great and quite nicely thought out. They must have a great chef with healthy and fresh ideas. Staff is also super nice.
Chicken & Guns you’ve done it Again!
Tacos & wings were excellent today!
Wonderful way to start a Mother's Day!
As a family We have discussed going to Chicken and guns, multiple times, but never seem to get the coordination with all of our members down. Went here over the weekend for the first time expecting something more than what we got per the reviews. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Has a good feel about it however, the service and the food along with cleanliness was absolutely disappointing. we came in and picked up two menus asbdirected and selected a table.! looked at the menus, and they were filthy to say the least; one menu was unreadable due to the print being worn off, the other menu had bits and pieces of somebody’s meal stuck to it. Thinking this was probably just after a rush as we were there around 2 PM. We went ahead and ordered . We had the brussels sprouts which were supposed to have garlic, but there was no garlic and they would have done with about two more minutes of cooking, they were exceptionally woody. My husband ordered three tacos which he said were uhmmm. he said that the pork belly was the best and most flavorful. I had the chicken salad sandwich . There was had some chicken salad, but was the sandwich really honestly was mainly salad greens, and pickled onions along with two huge pieces of Texas toast that overwhelmed the taste and flavor of any piece or part of the chicken. The chicken in itself had no smokey flavor and that was disappointing. I ordered the guns which were the chunks of russet potatoes and they were just OK, it would’ve been nice to have a better dipping sauce experience than the cilantro type dressing they provided. We had to scrounge up some salt and pepper. We had to look for extra napkins. The waitress did not check in on us and when my husband got up to use the bathroom, he came back fairly disgusted and just wanted to leave as he said. It was disgustingly dirty and had a strong odor of urine. I suppose if you’re visiting on a sunday afternoon you would likely expect things to be more sanitary and that your feet would not stick to the floor. All in all it was not the experience we hoped to have. I can see that maybe on the weekend evenings, this is a hopping place and people probably enjoy themselves greatly, but I was expecting more flavor from the food and maybe just a little bit more customer service, especially since there was not a lot of other people enjoy enjoying the dining experience.
The Peruvian steak and rice is just freaking excellent. Yes, the wings and guns are all great too, but everything on this menu must be tried

The chicken was so good I forgot to take a picture.
Soooo yummy, one of the best places I’ve been on the coast. Service was kind and fast, food was incredible, vibes were immaculate. 💕

On the beaten path in the middle of nowhere, but definitely worth the stop! Excellent creative sides which are enhanced by the homemade sauces. Michelin would never stop in Gales Creek, Oregon, but it they did, they'd leave a star there!
