Food sucked waiter sucked took a half hour to get an appetizer cheeseburger, trios that look like they were scraped off the grill. It wasn’t busy and nobody cared

Lunch and dinner food, as at any of their other establishments, is OK; breakfast is delicious; drinks are measured, weak and way too expensive; service is, as at any of their other establishments, ALMOST always very poor. I often feel like I put on the 'invisible hat' when I walk in, whether or not the place is busy...

Always enjoy visiting McMenamins when we travel. Unique and fun. The green goddess salad with chicken was delicious and the view of the golf course was nice.

We came down for a girls weekend and our weekend always has to include a stop at this bar. Larime is an amazing bartender. He goes the extra mile to make sure your drink is exactly what you desire and more. His Hot Toddy is amazing. I had the coffee nudge, which was excellent. Thanks again and see you next time we are in town.AnoukPDX

Beautiful spot to grab a meal, breakfast or lunch. I've had both and the ambiance is worth a thousand words. The chowder and fish and chips are great. Several items to choose from.

It was 10 years ago or so I took a special needs adult on a trip..a vaction for him. Our first stop was here for breakfast. It was during spring break..hardly anyone around for some unknown reason. Defintitely date material..but I was with an individual who I cared for.Food was great..service great. We had breakfast by the fireplace. He laughed quite a bit despite being non-verbal. He'd wipe his nose and throw the kleenex in the fireplace..on his own initiative. He HAD a stellar visit. This was the beginning of a trip to Seaside...merry go-round, bowling alley, Astoria/bridge visit,an attempt to ride in a helicopter(no way in hell he motioned). Hope some one else can do that for us. He has since passed away. This will ALWAYS be a deep memory for me. Thank You Mc Menamins Sand Trap restaurant.Gary left me with an appreciation for how God shows us himself in broken humble ways.

My food was undercooked and so was my husband's, they remade my food and it was AMAZING but my husband was still charged for his meal even though he didn't eat it.

We recently had a group of 14 people for a family weekend at McMenamins coming from all over the country. The restaurant staff went to extra efforts to seat us at one table, and we were completely happy with our experience! We all arrived for dinner the first night and ordered so many different items with positive reviews. The pizza, burgers and fries, salads, beverages, chowder in the bread bowl, etc. everyone was filled and happy. Our waitperson was AMAZING!!! Thank you!

The service here was absolutely awful. The bartender immediately started the conversation off with not a hello or hi "I'm busy it might be awhile."The bartender downstairs with the curly blonde/red hair was extremely rude and even made a comment to my friends about me while I was not there. Service was awful. Never coming back again.

Let me start by sharing the positive, great atmosphere and the bar service was attentive with generous samples of beers on tap. We ordered a burger medium well came medium rare and knowing that it was just going back under the broiler we kept it and it was tasty. The pea soup of the day was really good and whoever made it knows how to pull a soup together. Now for the negative-the seasonal salad was an absolute joke. It was to be a fall harvest Mac salad with roasted squash, spinach, mushrooms, cranberries and walnuts. It came tepid in temp and we had to search for the squash pieces - 4 in total. No flavor to salad with macaroni thrown in for some reason? This should be taken off the menu immediately it is doing nothing to round out their menu.

Where to begin... we booked this 1 night get away in hopes to play a round of golf as a discount was included with the stay (they don't advertise how much the discount is or how much a round of golf is) however this review isn't about the cost. We came here and checked in, immediately making our way to the new Sand Bar. There was only a couple people there and the Bartender, Billie! When I tellYou this woman elevated our entire experience, it's an understatement. One of the kindest, most gentle souls out there. She shared many insights to the surrounding area, what food to order at the other bars and restaurants as well as things to do in the area. Hope to get to and on the beach. Sure opened up to us about life and was genuinely interested in ours as well! On her being here alone I'd recommend coming down and having a pint and a conversation! We eventually headed up to the sand trap for dinner and here we were equally pleased with the food as well as drink suggestions made by Billie! Who to our joy as well as many other in the bar, showed up after her shift to order her food to go! 10/10 would recommend a day away here, however 13/10 would recommend if Billie is working!

I had breakfast here with my partner and our wives. Eggs Benedict was good (7 out of 10). Other meals ordered will be similar, so the kitchen is good. Two stars because the place was filthy, with dust everywhere. They have not given the place a thorough cleaning in a few years. The men's bathroom was worse than the average gas station restroom. Other than the level of clean, the atmosphere was great. It could easily be brought to a five-star rating with a bit of attention from management.

We attempted to sit for dessert before 9pm. but were told by by the rude hostess that tables were closing and try bar area. One of party is disabled and it was a struggle for them to get set-up. Once we were at the bar, we were ignored by the barmaid. She was more concerned about emptying the dishwasher. I asked to speak w/the manager but never received a response. We left as a result.

We tried to visit the Sand Trap Pub on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at approximately 12:30pm. I say "tried" because we were quite significantly given the brush off when we asked about seating on the patio (on the parking/middle tier), and were told outdoor seating was only available on the lower level, which was hosting a private function and was notably NOT available for casual dining to us. We left disenheartened, concerned that this location has no interest in our business, and unsure of the impact on our 18 year relationship with one of our favorite chains.
