Chowder House at Pacific Reef

After a not so good experience, we came here very hungry. Not only was the staff super friendly- but they were upbeat and made great suggestions! I ordered the clam chiwder bread bowl :))) The food was really nice, and very filling. We will 100% be back!!! Thank you ???❤❤

Probably the best burger and fries, that I’ve ever had.

We were on vacation and stopped in to try this place. The hostess told us she didn't know if she'd have room for our family. We do have a large family, but the place was empty. Only one table with people at it. The rest of the whole place was empty. I guess she just didn't want to serve our family. Too bad because it sounded really good. The thing is, when you treat a large group poorly, you should expect a large amount of negative reviews.

I went in with a group of people on vacation. We were all well dressed and clean but the girl behind the counter refused to serve us. The restaurant was empty other than one table with a group at it. She said "how many?" We told her 8 and she replied " oh um, we don't have room"

Location is great! The building is nice too. I really want to like this place because the atmosphere is great. But the food? Just okay.

Killer Reef burger was the best burger I'd had in quite a while. Clam chowder was excellent and my husband had the fish tacos, which also didn't disappoint (if you like spicy). Interior very cute, cozy, and comfortsble despite being in middle of adding a unique specialty olive oil tasting bar. I'm looking forward to trying that on our next trip. Friendly staff also deserve a shout-out.

Just wow. The calm chowder was off the hook. Had the Pacific sampler, which is all the things and good. Service was great. Stop for a pint and a snack!

Fabulous service - super helpful waitress, lovely jalapeno poppers and fish and chips. Everything was cooked and served quickly - could not hope for better. Thank you Sasha !!

Great Chowder.. tastes like homemade, creamy and hot! Fish n chips was also very good, the house made tartar sauce was super!

Enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. Fish and chips were good. Waiter was friendly.

What a joke. We were served our salads, soups and main dish all at the same time . The place was empty. the decor was nice, the food not bad, but not worth the money.

Great service, excellent food. Super nice resturant & very clean. I was skeptical because of the 3.5 rating but so happy we didn't pass it up. No complaints at all -food was great, service was excellent, value was great as well. You won't regret stopping here for lunch or dinner.

Stayed one night at the on-site motel which provided a discount to eat at the Chowder House. Being light appetite seniors, we ordered a breakfast burrito to share and coffees. It was delicious and HUGE. Glad we were sharing!

Had clam chowder and crab sandwich. The chowder was cream of celery soup with lumps of powder that wasn't mixed up. Fries are great, crab sandwich very dry. Waitress face looked like a pincushion, and blue hair.
