Mariah has made a wonderful bakery and her amazing recipes have people lined up to her window. I highly recommend you make a stop on your way through Gold Beach. Very worth it!

Good bakery run out of a home. The savory kouign aman was excellent. The fruit Danish was only ok. The Danish looks flaky but was pretty bread-y, a little dry and lacked flavor -- it really felt like it needed more jam/filling. The pecan roll probably would have been only ok like the Danish because it seems like the same dough, but the caramel sauce made up for it so I'd say the pecan roll was a solid "good". Not a bad stop but maybe not a go out of your way kind of place.

Wow!! What a gem. Almond pastrie was warm and wonderful. French press coffee. Off 2nd Street in residential area. Our puppy felt the relaxed vibe. Highly recommend.
Decent bakery but not what we were expecting from the reviews. The kouign-amann was more of a dough texture than a flaky layered pastry. The blackberry danish left a lot to be desired and I wouldn't have been able to distinguish it from what you'd get at a hotel breakfast. My wife got the almond pastry and the almond paste filling was delicious and she also got the sticky bun which she said wasn't memorable. Not a bakery we'll feel the need to come back to.

We have had the pleasure to stop here a few times especially during an extended stay in the area. This is a MUST ! Such a wonderful bakery - the service , smiles and quality of the baked yummies are out of this world. I still dream of the savory wild mushroom tarts I had for Thanksgiving courtesy of Leavened. Today's run: sourdough bread and some dessert pastries.
