Ordered the Arugula salad with beets and goat cheese to go
Got it home and not a speck of goat cheese in it or on it
Very disappointing

Ordered falafels, so delicious and very generous size meal, we also had the red lentils soup and baba ghenash, Turkish coffee. Everything was delicious. I can’t wait to return and try other items, food is full of flavors and perfect spices on everything. If you desire some spicy touch they will offer you a side sauce for that perfect heat bite.

Amazing food and wonderful staff. I've traveled around and have been to a few different countries, and this by far has been one of my favorite restaurants. The Turkish sausage and hummus was a fantastic starter and would recommend the traditional Turkish meatballs. Served with delicious rice and vegetables. The falafel was also a very delicious dish. As for desserts the rice pudding and baklava were amazing and would strongly suggest trying. The Turkish coffee was nice and strong and the Turkish delight was the cherry on top.
10/10 would recommend stopping by and trying it for yourself.

Absolutely amazing food, every dish was painstakingly created with so much flavor. Hummus with sausage was out of this world take on a standard hummus dip. The lamb shank was tender and flavourful. The lamb chops were tender but firm enough for you to enjoy the bite into it. The chicken shish was delicate. Also try their spicy sauce, works well with the chicken shish. The lentil soup was light and tasty. The place itself is a little small, so get a reservation.

Must try sausage
Amazing lentil soup
And service is amazing
Sorry, I didn't get a chance to take the pictures of the soup. It was too good to stop and think of taking pics.

Al’s Mediterranean in Jacksonville is hands down my new favorite. I lived in Turkey for a year and this is a comfort food memory bomb.

Walking into the restaurant and being greeted like friends, cozy atmosphere and friendly folks.

We started with Turkish tea and warm hummus and pita. It came quickly and was perfectly spiced and the pita was grilled and warm.

I had the Kofte wrap filled with veggies and tasty kofte (Turkish lamb meat balls). Al was the perfect host, offering spicy sauces and a traditional lokum (Turkish delight) with coffee.

Save room for baklava because the fresh house made treat was filled with pistachios and sweetened syrup over crisp phyllo dough. I could have eaten 3 servings.

The Turkish coffee was made the traditional way and was absolute perfection. Hot, perfectly smooth and strong. Like espresso but better. I will probably be awake for the next week.

Make the trip, make a new best friend and have an amazing meal!

Vegetarian options: My niece had the falafel and lentil soup, both vegetarian and was happy with the tasty selections offered.

Parking: It’s Jacksonville, parking can be a pain if it’s busy. But usually the side streets are easier to find parking

Kid-friendliness: There are plenty of kid friendly foods, rice, hummus, kofte and falafel. None of the aforementioned are spicy unless you ask for them to be.

Wheelchair accessibility: Shouldn’t be a problem, no stairs to enter.

The server, who was super nice, confirmed to us that the lamb and chicken breast is halal. The lamb chops were too good, just out of this world. Will 100% try to come here again the next time we visit medford!

This place is so spectacularly delicious. Ordered the lamb wrap and it was cooked to perfection. Had the Turkish coffee which came with some Turkish delight on the side. Al the owner was very attentive and catered to us to our needs exponentially. The baklavas to die for as well. I don’t normally leave reviews but this was just such a pleasant experience I had to leave a good review. Definitely go check it out yourself.

Vegetarian options: The lady ordered the falafel as she isn’t prone to liking meat and she thoroughly enjoyed it.

So SO delicious. Best Mediterranean food I've had since I moved here. And it's just a little hole in the wall—the best hidden gem in Jacksonville! The interior is nice and moody with really elegant dinnerware. The staff are so kind and attentive, always on top of refilling our waters and bringing out more pita bread (which went quick). Plenty for leftovers, and I can't wait to try the baklava we took to go. I'll be back without a doubt! You're missing out if you don't visit!

Me and my wife enjoyed our anniversary at Al’s and had a wonderful time. Both drinks and food were of high quality and tasted excellent. We personally really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. Al visited with us a little bit too, made some great recommendations and later asked how we enjoyed the meal, something that really meant a lot to us. We look forward to coming again and highly recommend the restaurant to anyone who likes Turkish/Mediterranean food or just wants to try something a little different.

Wow, so flavorful and delicious. Our picky 10 year old even loved the beef entree. The rice was great, the veggies, lamb/beef/kofta, and the rice pudding. Will definitely return.
