Me and my family have been going here for many years now. Absolutely best Chinese food I've had and I'm 40. I've had my share of other restaurants to.

China Hut is one of those rare, comforting places that feels like it’s been part of the neighborhood forever. This small, family-owned Chinese restaurant is run by a kind, hardworking older lady who makes every visit feel personal and welcoming. From the moment you walk in, there’s a warm, homey atmosphere that you just don’t get at big chain restaurants.
The food is classic, hearty, and clearly made with care. Portions are generous, flavors are familiar and satisfying, and everything comes out fresh and hot. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick meal or taking food home, it feels like the kind of place that truly appreciates your business.
What really sets China Hut apart, though, is the heart behind it. The owner is incredibly sweet and genuinely thankful for every customer, which makes supporting this restaurant feel especially good. If you’re looking for honest Chinese food, friendly service, and a place that deserves your support, China Hut is absolutely worth a visit.

The food was terrible. Tasted like old grease was used. The place was dirty unkempt and both my guest didn't partake in their dishes either. We were still charged and waitress kept apologizing. I honestly couldn't believe it. I had owner taste it, she agreed. Be careful eating there.

I've been going to China hut for years love the food going there now.favprite place to go.go try it out wont be disapointed.
Great food, a cool old-school atmosphere, many lottery machines, and an ATM to keep the fun going. I recommend trying the General Tso's chicken and supporting local :)

Ordered Marfar chicken, sweet and sour chicken, pork fried rice, prawns, and chicken low mein. Worst food I've ever gotten. Pink sauce is not typical pink sauce, it taste like ketchup mixed with something...not sure what but it's horrible. Fried rice was barely fried if at all. The chicken taste like it's been sitting a long time, or it was fried in old oil. Ordered soup and when I got home I realized I didn't get soup, apparently you need to bring your own container for soup. I would give 0 stars but I had to give one. Literally everything ordered was trash food.

Someone of the worse Chinese food. It’s as if my 12 year old made it in my grandmothers English kitchen. Very strange Chinese food.

My husband and our 2 kids moved to southern Oregon in 1997. Coming from the Bay Area I scouted out Chinese food in Grants Pass. China Hut was the only full serve restaurant in GP. Panda Express didn’t exist back then.Which isn’t saying much. If you are a truly Chinese food fan you know what I mean.Anyway fast forward to today. I was in GP and decided to do carry out from China Hut. UGG The absolute worst food I have ever eaten. No hot mustard? Sweet and sour sauce was terrible. We have lived in the Jackson county area and I discovered the Silver Dragon Restaurant about 15 years ago. The absolute best Chinese food in Southern Oregon.I have no dog in the fight I just want to give you former California Newbie’s a real review! On a lighter note Please don’t drive like you did in California we like the slow pace. After all isn’t that why you moved here? If not please be polite anyway we like our slow pace
