El Charro Viejo

First time visiting this restaurant. The wait was short to be seated but the wait for service was long. We waited nearly 15 minutes for our waiter Jose that immediately asked to take our order. We had to request a beverage because he never asked. He took our order and it arrived in about 20 minutes. Jose just set it down and walked off. My corn tortilla for my taco was so soggy and wet. I dumped all the ingredients out and just ate the meat. My husband had an al pastor burrito and it was horrible. It wasn’t hot in the middle and the meat was off. Our waiter never came over one time to check on us or offer us another beverage. We needed more salsa, more napkins and wanted another beer but that never happened. We had to flag him down for the bill. We will never return here again.

Best Mexican food in Grants Pass. Everything is made fresh, and the service was excellent. We will be coming back for sure and bring all our friends and family when they come for a visit.

I was a little leary from the menu photos and was wonderfully proven wrong, very, very good food . Service was excellent. Ask for extra napkins. you're going to need some.

This resturant is now located at 1610 SW Allen Creek Rd, Grants Pass, OR next to Albertson's. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. Prices are reasonable and food is delicious!

Our first time to try out this wonderful little restaurant. The food was excellent and the service friendly and very welcoming. The atmosphere is open and light. A wonderful old world feeling in a very unexpected gem.

Wow! Excellent food & their service was better than great! They were so attentive to our needs. Fast but really good food. The slaw was the most unique and excellent slaw I have ever tasted.

I order Chicken Molé at every Mexican restaurant I’ve gone to for the past 10 years, and this place has some of the best, most unique Chicken Molé I’ve ever tried. I can’t recommend it enough.

This is a beautiful Mexican restaurant to visit. Dishes are served quickly and have always been delicious. Staff are always welcoming as well.
