Love this little family ran restaurant. Down to earth people and atmosphere. Good home style cooking.
Does not care about the health and safety of the community. They insert politics into business. If they can't be bothered to do the basics to help keep people safe and healthy imagine what other health violations exist behind the scenes.
Loved this restaurant. Everyone down to earth. Food was fantastic, service was fantastic. No sheeple here. Nice not having to wear a mask. Some of us like to breathe. With a 99.7 %surviving ratio. I would prefer not to be controlled by a lunatic Governor who doesn't even wear a mask or follow her own stupid rules herself. Well...only on t.v.
We were visiting from out of State for Thanksgiving and when trying to locate a breakfast place the pictures really drew us in. I really should have gotten photos. Our kids got the pancakes and French toast. Both of them said it was delicious and finished their plates.I got the Dagwood omlette with pepper jack and Cheddar. They make their own paperback and I wanted to try it but I cannot handle very spicy things. The pepper jack was very very good. I had a few pretty spicy bites but nothing that took over the flavor of the dish.Hubby got one of the chicken fried steak stacks and really enjoyed it. He actually could not finish this generous portion. It's not often my husband can't finush his plate.I was not too impressed with the coffee. I do prefer strong coffee and thie coffee just tasted watered down. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. We ended the meal with one of those GIANT Cinnamon rolls and it was so so so so good! $8 for the Cinnamon roll is a real steal! We're excited to come back and try some other items on their menu.
Great food and great pricing. Large portions and a great selection.
If you take away from any review, take this one. Let's start with the obvious, the restaurant is what it is, a diner. A little bit dated in the decor and furniture, but fully immerses you in the diner experience. The staff was amazing, quality service. You could tell it wasn't that fake nice, that overly polite to put on a good front. Our waitress was on it with any problems (not really a problem I had), and she seemed to just be at ease with herself and the job she does. And the food! My husband and I are traveling on our honeymoon, so its been diner after diner for us. This one is my favorite so far. It isn't very often that you find a diner cook who can actually cook an egg properly. Over-easy does not mean uncooked whites, you know? He got it right. And the Eggs Benedict, I couldn't believe how much I enjoyed that meal. Proportions were perfect, just the right amount of sauce and flavor. The French toast was nailed, slightly crispy on the outside, but soft and tender on the inside. And the bacon isn't your traditional diner bacon, you know, the paper-thin poor excuse the big-name diners like to use. It is thicker, Applewood smoked. This place might be a bit spendier than most diners, but to me, the price is worth it. Their portions aren't over the top, but the quality and care is. That price you pay is for quality, the way America should be. Will definitely eat here again of we return to this town.
I just had breakfast at the Miner. One of the waitresses, the older one was not wearing a mask and walking around customers, myself included coughing. Then I saw her putting an oxygen reader on her finger. This is one of the most disrespectful things I have ever seen.
This is a really good restaurant. It has a small town feel to it. On Friday's fish and chips is the special. I had lunch there today for the first time. It was really good. Usually I'm not a big fan of tarter sauce but the kind served with the fish and chips at this restaurant was actually super good.
This a great restaurant for breakfast and lunch.I have enjoyed dining at the Gold Miner for years.
The meal was average. But if they have the cinnamon roll in stock, I highly recommend buying it. It is huge! And delicious! Enough for 4 people. And only $7.50.

Brought toast out ten min before the rest of my food and they got that wrong. Had an attitude when I asked for eggs over medium instead of scrambled. Purposefully spilt coffee after. I chose to go else where after that. Turns out it was the owner acting like a three year old.
They have the largest cinnamon roll ever ?. Super excellent service and food.
Nice people, hot breakfast, even though the food is a little on the bland side. Home fries are a bit weird. Not dirty, but kinda looks half-furnished.
My first time eating and we had breakfast and the meal was ok. The biscuits and gravy was good but the hash browns weren't cooked all the way. The pancakes were on the burnt side and the coffee wasn't very good. I wouldn't come back for breakfast. I might try lunch.
I love this restaurant. The staff has always been attentive and pleasant. Good traditional diner food. The Miner Country Breakfast is my favorite.
