NuYu is a large gym with a great selection of equipment, including good quality weights, machines, and cardio equipment. The facility is clean and spacious, with a solid sauna and a variety of fitness classes. Although the startup fees and monthly dues can be difficult for many to manage, they offer a very reasonable day pass ($22) that's good for 24 hours. The gym has seen an influx of new members who receive their membership through the Oregon Health Plan. The restaurant within NuYu offers excellent service, a wide variety of nutritional products, and refreshing shakes and wheatgrass shots. Customers can also enjoy the welcoming atmosphere and indoor seating. The staff is friendly, though the front desk can sometimes be inconsistent with assistance.
