I went on a throw back night. 90's & 00's I was a blast. I did eat or drink anything other than Redbull. But it was pretty chill there.

For an impromptu trip. This place was a great time. A friend of mine & I were in town. Atmosphere, service & food were all great. I'll definitely be returning if I'm ever in that area again.

@larry fig and barry gig reviews
Not sure if you will see this since I can’t reply directly, but:

I am the bartender that was working the night your party came through. First of all, I would like to apologize if any of you felt unwelcome, that’s never my intention or the intention of the bar as a whole. However, while it has absolutely nothing to do with ethnicity or sexual preference/identity, I stand by my choice not to serve certain members of your party that night. After reviewing footage, so does management.

It is my job to keep patrons and the bar itself safe and to identify when customers are not to be served further. Whether you had a safe ride at the time or not, and regardless of whether you personally felt you were not at your drinking limit, OLCC law states I am legally not allowed to serve someone who appears visibly intoxicated. By my discretion more than one member of your party appeared visibly intoxicated, as such I did not serve them alcohol, but I did offer food and water like you said.

A few things I’d like to add that you may not realize about that night:

- the reason I appeared somewhat frustrated had little to do with your party and I did not intend to direct it your way, so I am sorry if you felt otherwise. Though it looked not busy at the time, I alone was simultaneously taking drink orders for your party as well as others, helping the DJ set up/get situated as it was his first time performing with us, and also making food orders in the back. We have a back patio/game room and I had a few more customers out there as well. Not daunting tasks on their own but they can quickly add up and become overwhelming.

- Two of the other patrons that were inside dancing with you were my very close friends, both of them are women of color and one is openly gay. Not that I need to share it, but I am bisexual myself. I had no idea one of you were trans until this review, but my choice to refuse drink service was based solely on behavior and would have been the same even if I had known at the time. I’ve even cut off my close friends and family before if they drank too much, because I legally have to.

Sound lounge, and myself, are entirely inclusive of people of all backgrounds. Even so, this means we treat poc/lgbtqia+ and all people the same, and as such will cut them off if need be, just as we would for anyone else.

A true and honest review:
I had a bachelorette party on a Thursday night, and this was a first stop. My friend from out of town booked us a party bus which was super fun and a new experience for our whole party of 7! On the ride in we drank white claws and had a few shots before making the stop into the sound lounge. The only people in the bar when we got there was us and two other individuals.
When we got to the bar the bartender was already visibly irritated about having to deal with customers at all for the night which threw us off guard but whatever it’s our night! We all ordered our one (and only) drink of this bar, and while all of us were able to get our drinks alright, the bartender began directly targeting one of my friends. Mind you, he’s trans and Native American. He had only one white claw prior to our venture out and was the most sober of the group, but was denied service unless he bought food before his drink. We complained about this in an earlier review and the response was “they’re not able to serve if someone is visibly intoxicated” which I could understand if that were the case. However, he was given the option to drink after buying food, and most of us were more intoxicated than him. This bar was blatantly racist and homophobic towards my friend, and their only patrons of the night. None of us finished our drink after he told us what happened, and our group (along with the two other patrons who experienced similar responses from a single staff member) made our way to a different bar. I couldn’t in good faith recommend this bar if you’re not white and looking for a fun night out with friends (even if you purchase a very expensive party bus, which they will also target as they did in their response to my friends review)

Went here and there was almost no one in the bar. Didn’t kind that because Ibwss with a group, so we were the party. HOWEVER, immodesty when we arrived and tried getting drinks the bar tender was selective and not serving people and making them get food before they got a drink. I understand when people are drunk and cutting them off but we came there to get going on drinks so no one should have been cut off or made to get food before getting a drink. So we left because of that. Kind of embarrassing on their behalf if there’s only 7 people so if that was your hard to manage OR they wanted more money from lack of service. Because you could have gotten out tips so many more drinks out of us. Anyways, went to Flespys and that was a significantly better experience.

I would let adrienne and nic give me an emergency c section from a youtube tutorial for free no no no i would pay them each $1000 for one thats how much i trust them because of how good they are at making their drinks and djing at this place. They throw DOWN for their customers. I would let them marry me at my wedding. I dont know them very well besides being my bartenders but they are the most trustworthy folk ive ever known. I had the flu one time and they made me soup and gave me vitamins

The place in Grants Pass to see a live music show. Great sound and ample space to boogie. We went to catch our favorite local band Electric Eel and they put on a great high energy show

Help was very short and abrupt when ordering. Place was packed out and the bartenders seemed to not care and move very slow. Would strongly recommend any other bar for a night out as this seems to be the regular vibe from staff.

Ive been here twice. Nicholas or Nick the bartender has served me both times. As a new commer to the area I have to admit this is the only bar I’ve made it a point to go to again. I enjoy the vibe, excellent service, great beer prices. I look forward to many more evenings here.
