I purchased a $20 cherry pie from Cartwrights for Thanksgiving dinner. It was atrocious. Hardly any cherries, no flavor, the filling was gelatinous and it ruined the evening for those that love cherry pie. We ended up throwing it in the garbage. I will never buy another pie from this bakery again. Cartwrights should stop selling their pies.

My parents bought a cherry pie from Cartwrights for $18. Our whole family was disappointed in the pie, the cherry filling was more like a strange chutney than gooey cherry. It had awful flavor that tasted like cherry cough syrup. Based on other reviews here, this company should get out of the baking business and stop taking hard working peoples money.

Had one of their blackberry pies tonight and it was one of the best pies I've had. The crust was so flaky and tender. They also make a great shepherders bread too.
This couple's French breads are outstanding just wish we lived closer as I would buy their stuff every day
Our favorite bakery for everything especially the bread
Bought an apple custard pie at the Farmers Market in Medford because it is a pie that I adore. Imagine my surprise when I got it home, left it on the counter till dinner, and decided to cut into it and found that 1) the pie crust is raw (only the top is a light golden brown) and 2) the custard (made of cream and eggs) is runny and not firm.Yes. I'm upset over it because there is no way I am willing to feed it to my family and hope that it is safe. Nor am I willing to bake it. It is a shame since this place always have great quality baked goods and it has to be the day to get a flop for $15.00.
The peanut butter cookies are the very best i have ever eaten. My husband has driven over 50 miles just to by these cookies. Going to try the macaroon next .
Bought the last bear claw and 5 almond shortbread tarts at the Medford farmers market yesterday , omg. They were so good! By far the best bear claw I’ve ever eaten! Yum

We bought a peach pie from Cartwright's today. The cost was $16.00. The peaches were obviously canned. There was no topping on the pie, so it was very bland. Very disappointing. Especially for $16.00.
I bought 3 pies at Cartwrights saturday. They looked great. But after several people cut into them and put icecream on them and started to eat them the fruit was hard and the bottom and sides of the crust were almost raw dough.very expensive lesson. We couldn't salvage them to rebake them.check pie before serving they needed cooked alot longer.otherwise the filling had great flavor.michele morton
Love seeing you at the farmers market! Really yummy banana nut bread!
Excellent Pies and pastries. I used the Windmill Bakery for our Annual Pi-Day Celebration (March 14, 2016) and everyone loved all of the fresh baked pies. I ordered 5 (Apple, Cherry, Peach, Three Berry & Strawberry Rhubarb) and Andre delivered them in the morning for our afternoon celebration. I would definitely recommend ordering their pastries and pies for your special occasion. Just make sure you call ahead and the Windmill Bakery is pretty accommodating. They can be found at the Growers Market on Saturdays in Grants Pass.
Great strawberry rhubarb pie. The best I have had. Got the pie at Cartwrights meat market , it was spendy there not sure if it may be less at the actual bakery or maybe because of the season (march). Look forward to trying more. Stuff there.
