Excellent food choices. Great cook, wait staff and service. The location is beautiful. Nice outdoor seating available. They are open Thursday -Sunday from 11am-8pm. A real treat for sure. Look forward to visiting frequently.

Good as it gets, 17 miles from Halfway, and halfway to nowhere, and as close to Idaho as you can get without going over. Split the catfish sando with homemade chips with my best gal, we’re still dreaming about it 4 days later. We’ll go back as soon as we can! Kind, smart, talented staff to back up the great food.

Me and my friends ride to Hells Canyon to eat at this great spot. The service is the best, the food is good and presentation makes it even better. I think the building is a leftover from when the dam was built so there may be some history to explore.The current owners have done a great job making it a spot people love to visit. Hurry up and get the grill fired up I have a craving for a Dam burger and homemade potato chips.

So I got a lot to say about this one, this is a seasonal restaurant which is understandable. It has gone through a few owners, and the one they have now has done an amazing job. Great food selection, and i would eat there all winter long if they were open. I only visit in the winter months due to fishing. I heard the owner is considering selling , and I would buy it in a heartbeat if I had the funds. But man, great job restoring this place and know that customers truly enjoyed coming to visit.

I'm very grateful for this little cafe. Hidden gem and a very desolate area. More than an hour drive to any place that serves food.
I was camping about 9 mi away from Hell's canyon iinn and cafe. No stores were open that wete nearby. My vans refrigerator had some food but nothing to make a meal out of. People in the campground recommended this establishment. I went there. Ordered delicious food, sat on the patio with my dog. And oh my God, they have internet.
It's one of the only places in the area that has Wi-Fi or internet access. I didn't even have access to my mobile phone network in this area except for at this cafe. I was able to send messages back home to let everybody know that I was doing well on my journey through hells canyon .
The patio is dog-friendly.
The food is great. Next time I'm in the area regardless if I need internet or not, I am going back for the delicious food.

I live close to Atlanta GA. I come to Halfway for family, a couple of times a year. I have been to Hells Canyon Inn multiple times now. The food, the service, and staff are all top notch. Thier food is always fresh and delicious!! The owners are wonderful people, warm, and welcoming. This place is a diamond and it is well worth a visit if you are within the state of Oregon or Idaho. You cannot miss with the Hells Canyon Inn, per my experience. I would put thier food up against any restaurant food in Atlanta. It is that good!!!

What a great experience! This is a try hard operation. We stopped here for dinner before a rafting trip on Hell's Canyon and what a good decision that was. The food was crazy good and the staff were awesome! Blackened Catfish sandwich was off the charts. And get this - homemade potato chips and rice crispy squares. What?
