Stopped here this afternoon and had lunch. I had a cheeseburger and fries... one of the best I've had. My wife, a vegetarian, had the wrap with fries, and my buddy, a vegetarian, had the garden burger. Our waitress was very personable and served us with a very fun spirit which made our meal that more special. Food was so good we got a desert, an apple fritter to eat there and took a carrot cake home. Kudos to the manager who came by to say hi. We definitely will be back. The Main Place is highly recommended.

This was a great place in Halfway Oregon where we stayed while exploring Hells Canyon. The food was great and the service was great too. We sat outside on a beautiful evening and it had enjoyable atmosphere.

Kind of a mixed bag for a 4-star. We were initially seated in the restaurant, but appeared we were forgotten. Finally went into the cafe side, where Chelsea provided us with great service. Meal was pretty good. Satisfying, well prepared, but nothing special. Cheesecakes though. Very good.

We loved it! Hubby had the bacon burger, and I had the tilapia fish tacos one night. He had the bacon wrapped steak and stuffed baked potato another night, and I had the pasta with chicken. ALL SO GOOD! The side salads were beautiful and so fresh and tasty! The fries were really good! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed eating outside on the patio both nights. Oh! And we loved A Girl Named Sue beer!

We ate here on 8/31 while on a bicycle trip and it was a good place to eat with very good salads and a good beer selection. This is primarily a steak place but I can't rate that as we didn't have any. The service was good and prompt with all staff being friendly and happy we were there. This is a nice place to eat and it's across the street from Pine Valley Lodge which is a plus.

This place is really big for a small town. Nice decor, friendly staff. Everyone was really satisfied with their meal and they made a delicious Old Fashioned. I'd go again for sure if I ever am out that way again.

Friendly, busy bar/restaurant in small town of Halfway, OR. Feels like a friendly gathering spot, with lots of locals. Great beer on tap as well as varied menu of tasty dishes. Good prices.
Vegetarian options: Good veggie burger and very nice pasta in white sauce. Both came with sizable tasty salads.
Parking: Located in a remote small town. Parking is plentiful.

For a while, I wouldn't dare to eat here because it's kinda spendy, and the food quality wasn't worth the bill by far. HOWEVER. Recently, this place has really been showing their worth and the food has been AMAZING!! Been very very impressed with them lately. I believe this good new change is due to the new chef they have. Hoping they treat him well and he sticks around.
