“My son stopped at Bastions this past June 2025 and purchased 2 good sizes of your coffee cake. It was exceptional and so moist. We couldn't put our forks down! We're the ones who purchased a pecan pie from bastions last Christmas and a pumpkin pie last Thanksgiving. Both outstanding! Everything we've tried is excellent including the donuts. It's great to have a wonderful place that bakes without gluten, dairy and cane sugar! Thank you! Theresa“

“Awesome place. Staff could be a bit nicer - they were a bit cold and no smiles, but in general it's a great place to bring your kids or come alone. (Although like someone else mentioned, the setup with the play area being right by the kitchen is a bit odd(.“

“we returned to laughing planet for lunch during the annual belmont st. fair yesterday...we shared a lager, i had the small veggie balck bean burrito and added guac/sour cream, and my partner had the harvest bowl....the food is excellent and the drink hit the spot...the staff is great...we sat outside and had some good r/r....“

“I absolutely love the Harvest Bowl at Laughing Planet! The combination of flavors is always fresh, wholesome, and incredibly satisfying. The ingredients are high-quality and the bowl is packed with a perfect balance of grains, veggies, and protein. It’s my go-to meal every time I visit the SE Woodstock location. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming, and I always leave feeling nourished and happy. Highly recommend!“

“We’ve been across the street at the hospital for a couple days, and the folks working the early evening weekday shift have been awesome. Friendly amongst themselves and customers (in a genuine way), accommodating, fast, and they all seemly treat each other with equal respect. I wish it wasn’t so rare in customer service, but this place just has good vibes and good food, all of which has been much appreciated to us.“
