Hops n Drops

Drove from Portland today around 2:30 to sit outside in the shade with our dog. There were tables in the shade but we couldn’t sit at them because there was only one server and these tables were maybe 20 feet away. We were offered a table with partial shade. I told the woman we both have had skin cancer and didn’t want to sit there. We are 77 years of age. Too bad. We left.

Leroy (the golden boy) and I approve! I had the mushroom burger (add jalapenos) with garlic fries. On point.
Leroy got the whipped cream cup with a bone on top, and a big bowl of fresh water.

I always get the tempura shrimp and it never disappoints.

Great service, quick and very friendly

Hot wings are great but the blue cheese dressing takes them to the next level!

We met up with some friends for dinner. Cody was our waiter. He went above & beyond. Food was filling & very tasty. Smash burger with garlic fries was my meal. The Clam chowder is worth the trip alone.

I recently visited Hop n Drop in Happy Valley, Oregon, to celebrate a friend’s anniversary, and it was a fantastic experience! This spot offers a welcoming, relaxed vibe similar to Chili’s in California but with a cozy, “northwest hospitality” feel that’s warm and inviting.

The food here is classic comfort fare, with large portions and plenty of flavor. I started with the French onion soup, which was incredibly cheesy and full of rich taste—a perfect start! We also enjoyed a hearty salad, crispy fried chicken, and a perfectly cooked patty melt. Each dish was satisfying, well-prepared, and delivered that familiar comfort food warmth.

Hop n Drop’s slogan says it all: “a neighborhood gathering place.” The atmosphere truly makes you feel like part of the community, and the service was friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely stop by one of their locations next time I’m in Washington or Oregon. A great place to unwind and enjoy a delicious meal with friends!

The service is generally great but after eating here 3 times I can fully say, the food is just terrible. This is no hate to the staff but I have gotten food poisoning every time I’ve eaten here and I have tried multiple different things. Gonna have to pass

Cute place, lots of TVs, great atmosphere and service. But the food. I don’t know if I just chose wrong or the cook just did a bad job but my burger and fries were inedible. My husband’s wings, sandwich and fries were pretty good. My French onion soup wasn’t hot enough but the flavor was good. Since it wasn’t hot enough the cheese hardened fast. Definitely wasn’t the best French onion soup as they stated on their menu. My garlic fries were EXTREMELY oily and didn’t taste good. I’ve never not eaten my fries. This was a first. Looked like they needed to change the oil and didn’t cuz they were lazy and it was the end of the day. My mushroom burger tasted funny. The mushrooms weren’t sautéed enough. I’ve been here many times before but this time was such a bad experience. I went in on Saturday evening around 730/8 pm.

Good service. Food seems to have shrunk but still delicious.

Never have enough help this place as gone down hill only 10 people here eating and we have a 40 min wait

We love going to Hops N Drops. Service and food is good. However they could start wiping their menus at the restaurant, they are always dirty and sticky.
