I went for a weekday lunch. We got the 10% senior discount. Everything was really great. My only complaint was the smell of rotting fish that hit me as I walked in and stayed with me throughout. I have a sensitive smell. I think it may be from mishandled garbage. Otherwise the food was excellent.

It was decent. One of the better buffets I've been to in some time although I don't frequent buffets much.

Food was really good everytime something was running low they We’re quick too fill up with more food unfortunately the customer service was very bad had a party of 9 and only got serviced once and that was because I had to stand up and look for someone too Refill our waters only one person at our table got soda and when asked for a refill got charged for a second soda when we had to pay. We had 3 kids 7yrsr old 2 year old 1 year old and a 6 month old when the time came to pay they charged us 7.50 for the 3 year old?! Of course we brought it too their attention but they got very bothered about it and started saying who knows what in their language.. good place but just needs better costumer service and I’d go over the bill twice before paying

This was an opportunity to shine NOT taken. Beautifully clean. The foods were a different story. Hot foods that was lukewarm at best, sushi that was near room temperature, steamed foods that should have been deliciously succulent were tough and chewy... overcooked. Sad to say probably will never go back

I'll make this brief. The place is disgusting. Unsanitary to the point that I place a call to the Clackamas county Health department. And reported them. For Health conditions that are in major violation of osha. If the restaurant/ restrooms are this Unsanitary. What does the kitchen look like. I wouldn't be surprised if they came in. Testing the surfaces for botulism, ecoli and anything else that can make you sick.

My family arrived around 7:45 pm (they close at 9 pm). As soon as it hit 8 pm, they were clearing out all the food and began cleaning up process. Nothing better than eating luke warm and dry food while being overwhelmed by the smell bleach and soap. To make things worse, they closed off the restroom around 8:15pm to clean up. Why do you have business/closing hours listed as 9 pm of you're going to shut down everything at 8 pm, and begin clean up process at 8:10 pm? It was bad enough I paid full price for left over/nasty food, but I had to endure all the mopping and scrubbing with strong scent of bleach, and I couldn't even use the restroom? When I address the issue with an employee he just walked away without any explanation/accommodation.
My family would have been more satisfied at McDonald's

Kumi Buffet: A Disappointing Experience

Kumi Buffet, once a reliable source for a diverse and satisfying meal, has unfortunately fallen short on my recent visit. While the weekend price premium suggests an elevated dining experience, the reality was far from it. The most glaring issue was the temperature of the food. Sushi, which should be chilled to perfection, was lukewarm, and hot dishes were disappointingly cold. This inconsistency in temperature immediately raised a red flag, and unfortunately, the rest of the meal did little to redeem the experience.

The quality of the food also left me feeling disappointed. The crab legs, a buffet staple, were overcooked to the point where the meat was practically nonexistent. This lack of attention to detail in preparation is a concerning sign, especially given the increased weekend price.

While I understand that buffets can be challenging to manage, a higher price point should translate to a better dining experience. The lackluster temperature control and the overcooked seafood demonstrate a lack of care that is unacceptable, especially considering the price tag.

If Kumi Buffet hopes to retain its customer base and justify its price increases, they need to prioritize food quality and temperature control. Until then, I would recommend exploring other buffet options for a more satisfying and enjoyable dining experience.

For a bit over $20 per person, this is the best seafood Asian buffet restaurant in the area. They serve a variety of Sashimi, in addition to the usual Sushi that can be found in other places. The food is flavorful, but not many fried items. There's carving station with lamb roast, ham, and turkey, and noodle station to customize pho and udon. I particularly like the dessert soups, taro tapioca soup, it's cold soup but not overly sweet. Overall, this is the buffet place that I will come back for.
