Happy Valleys hidden gem! Local family owned restaurants with fantastic food. Start with the rosemary fries, the bacon wrapped dates, and end with their signature rosemary lemon cookies and whatever desert it comes with. Amazing! Can you say date night!?
Overall a good place. Service was a bit slow but the staff are really friendly and attentive. Food was good but not great. Kinda bland but the cocktail list is good and so is the whiskey list.
Our family enjoyed an excellent brunch here. The breakfast cocktails were amazing. Great service and really loved the atmosphere. We will definitely come back.
Came here for date night 2 weeks post-op knee surgery and it was very accessible. The booth benches are very comfortable and soft. Servers and bartender were fabulous. Recommend the old fashions. Will come back!
First I want to say the drinks were fantastic! The food was good, however the reason I am giving three stars overall is because they broke a cardinal rule when it comes to food service. I didn't think I would need to ask them NOT to bring our entrées out BEFORE we finished our appetizers because of the supposed caliber of the establishment. We were barely half way through our appetizers when they brought out our entree. We had to move the appetizers to make room and watch the entrees sit on the table and get cold while we finished the appetizers! It's supposed to be simple, APPETIZERS FINISHED AND PLATES CLEARED THEN BRING OUT ENTREE! Plus the place gets really loud, hang some cloth between the ceiling beams to absorb sound. We may give them a second chance at a later date.
As always, you are treated as you are a king and queen and their most important customer in the place. Food is superb and each bite is filled with their passion for their fresh creation! Highly recommend the experience!
I had a very nice experience. Despite dining as a party of only one, staff was friendly, attentive, knowlegable, and helpful. If I had to quibble about something it would be that the small dinner salad arrived dressed; however I had not specifically requested dressing on the side so really that was my bad. The server was cooperative about pacing the meal as I requested. The food was tasty, arrived at appropriate temperatures. Portions were not huge but very sufficient. I ended up taking half the appetizer and half the entry home to provide a second meal. They have a large selection of distilled beverages available. The ones I tried were excellent and not unreasonably priced. The desert I had (peanut butter pie) would have easily served two people. It was deliciously rich.
Ordered a Caesar salad and meatballs. Simple portions. Partway through the salad got a long strand of hair in my mouth. That did it. They were very apologetic and brought another salad but I could eat much more knowing I got a hair in my mouth and a long strand to hoot.
Love love love this place! Such a perfect hideaway. Food is top notch (warm chèvre stuffed warm dates wrapped with bacon) - yum - and vegan (though you can add meat) stroganoff to die for! Sabine gives quietly proactive service with a smile and the imaginative true cocktail menu (I had my very first Vesper - thank you 007!) is the perfect size from which to choose. Happy Valleyers (and beyond) should flock here!
The food is so overpriced. Decent steak and limp fries. Service was not great and just an awkward ambiance.

I’ve been to this whiskey bar more than ten times, and unfortunately, the service has been consistently disappointing. Whether I visit in the afternoon or evening, the experience is the same—slow service when it’s not busy and rushed service when it is. There’s no balance, and worse, it often feels like the staff is irritated by customers being there, as if we’re putting them out.
I come from a family with experience in the hospitality industry, so I understand what good service looks like. I also know that I’m a kind and respectful customer—I don’t come in complaining or causing issues. But despite that, I’ve repeatedly noticed that the staff seems disengaged, impatient, and more focused on getting out the door than on creating a welcoming experience. That kind of energy is noticeable, and it’s not a good look.
This place is close to where I live, so I’ve given it multiple chances, but at this point, I have to ask—what’s the incentive to keep coming back? I can go anywhere, and when I choose to spend my time and money at a place, I want to feel like it’s worth it. If the people working here don’t enjoy what they’re doing, it shows, and it directly impacts the customer experience. Hospitality is about more than just serving food and drinks; it’s about creating an atmosphere that makes people want to return.
I hope management takes this into consideration because this bar has potential. But without a shift in attitude and service, it’s hard to justify choosing it over other places that prioritize the customer experience.

We enjoy the spacious atmosphere, that they take reservations and the well executed cocktails . Great drink program with gorgeous house cut ice. We’ve enjoyed the Waygu burger, steak salads and those wonderful pork devil eggs. Please bring them back as we don’t like the fishy ones.

Have been there 3 times. Stick with a sandwich, as steak is tough and not cooked correctly. Don't order stroganoff....absolutely horrible. Waitress is pleasant, but spendy for what you get. Service is great, food not so much unless you like French fries. They load your plate up!

First time patron. Amazing service and food. Cannot wait to go back. Melanie, our server was amazing! Best old-fashioned I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.
