Don't be afraid of the Tokyo old fashion! Never heard of anything like and glad I took the leap and tried it. Make reservations, great ambiance. Hidden gem in Happy Valley.

The food was fabulous, my husband loved his old fashions and his crème brûlée martini with dessert. The staff was great and the ambience was perfect for a date night. We can't wait to go back!

A really fun place! We all had pretty awesome food and really enjoyed the appetizers we got. Service was a little on the slow side, however they were also pretty busy so it's understandable.

The Whiskey Barrel Lounge and I are in a complicated relationship. It's close to home and the cocktails are hard to beat, so I always find myself coming back for more. The service from the hosts/hostesses usually falls flat. More often than not, they seem irritated to be working. The bartenders, on the other hand, are lively and seem to truly enjoy their jobs. Special shout out to Eddy, he makes one heck of a cocktail and is always very friendly. You can tell he takes pride in his job. For these reasons, I don't really recommend this as a dinner spot. If you're looking to grab a drink with friends, you can't go wrong snagging a seat at the bar. The drinks are on the pricier side, but they're truly unique and delicious. The atmosphere is lovely with dim lighting and classy décor. It feels like a true speakeasy. If you want to do dinner, they have a small but upscale menu with great apps. If you're like me and want to skip the drama and stick to drinks, you can hang out at the bar or meander upstairs to explore Ranch Pizza and Tamale Boy as food options.

Dinner at Whiskey Barrel Lounge was once again a wonderful experience. We asked for a quiet table and were given my favorite table in the corner with wonderfully comfortable chairs. The service was great, the food delicious. The Whiskey Barrel Lounge will remain our favorite spot for special occasions.

AJ. & Miles provided attentive and timely service as always. The kitchen crew is always consistent in delivering our food selections from appetizers, salads and entries fresh and tasty. Miles mixed amazing drinks from my favorite 30 Years War to delightful, delicious and spicy number, dressed up with Thai peppers...Yerm! Always terrific here, like family and friends at Whiskey Barrel Lounge.

This place started off with a solid food game a few years ago, like they hired a good chef and were aiming to be a Happy Valley fine food and drink venue. Unfortunately, the quality has fallen off a cliff over the last year or so. We had a completely disastrous Valentine's Day dinner there last night with them trying to cram all 4 courses onto the table before we even finished our pre-dinner cocktail. We asked them to at least hold off cooking our entrees until we ate the first course and they obviously had already cooked them and they just sat back in the kitchen. We were literally 15 minutes into our reservation time. When they brought the entrees out, my steak had continued to cook under a heat lamp or something, so my medium steak was well done. My wife's linguine and prawns was gelatinous and soft and really fishy tasting. I woke up sick in the middle of the night. We're never eating there again. A note to whoever makes up the drinks: you don't need to put edible glitter in everything. SMH.

The space is beautiful. When we checked in for our reservation, I asked if there might be a booth available. The host/our waiter said no and gave a rude, no eye contact snicker. First drink was great, second tasted off. Our server proceeded to put a straw in my drink (like bartenders do to taste sometimes) and said, it tastes fine to me. Thats not good service in my opinion. He begrudgingly offered a new drink. A few minutes later he proceeded to tell us he knows why the previous drink tasted off, and that it was indeed the establishments mistake. I was not impressed with any of our food for the price nor the service. We aren't planning to go back.

We were out on a Friday night and spent over an hour looking for somewhere to eat that wasn't crowded. We napped to see a sports bar but it was full up. Then noticed people going into another building next door so we went in and found ourselves heading down some stairs to an open dark restaurant with a really cool bar and several empty tables and chairs. We were taken to our table and the menu looked really enticing. We ordered a bee and a cocktail and two meals which we really enjoyed. The ambiance was dark, cozy and had a bit of swank. Will definitely be going back.

Don't order Jenga fries thinking they're are actual fries. We made the mistake and had an unpleasant surprise! Lol overall great service and great food. Pretty pricey for what it is except the burger, never skip out.

Great selection of whiskies, bourbons, liqueurs, and other spirits. We had meatballs and aioli fries as starters to go with our 2 flights and cocktails. Then ordered the shrimp scampi and a ribeye for main courses along with 2 pours from Islay and finished the night with a 25yr Heaven Hill to go with our apple pie crumble and vanilla bean cremé bruleé.Parking: Out front, 20+ across the lotKid-friendliness: Full-service restaurant open to families and children.Wheelchair accessibility: Dedicated parking and accessible

Atmosphere is great. Seated quickly. Had seasonal bruschetta that was excellent. Nice cocktail menu. The rest of it was meh. Salads were pedestrian and bland. Entrees where bland (coq au vin and ziti). Apple crisp for dessert was unremarkable. Ordered coffee for dessert. Had a cup before dessert arrived and were told the pot was out when we asked for a second cup. Like, maybe just brew another pot for 50 cents? Not impressed and will not be back.

If you like whiskey and bourbon, this is a must try. However, they have a full bar so don't think you have to only be into whiskey to want to swing in for a drink. Top notch cocktails, great food and the service is nothing but top notch.

Have heard about this place for a while now, this place is close to where I work so I could have come visited and tried out their food and services before. Had a chance to dine there last night for a friends birthday party, and it was such a wonderful experience from the moment we were greeted to having our wonderful meal everything was fantastic. The selection of alcohol was amazing that wall I think was over 40 feet long and 10 feet feet. ;-) they are looking for a place to either dine for 2 or dine for 10, definitely give this place a try.Parking: Parking is a little bit difficult depending on the time of day we went during dinner so we only had to wait a couple minutes to find an empty parking spot.

We came in to celebrate our anniversary. There was a table set up for us by the fireplace with a Happy Anniversary sign and champagne. The service, atmosphere, and drinks were great.
