Visiting our daughter at college and husband has been wanting to try this place. Parking is a bit hard. Seating is seat yourself not to bad. We were able to find a seat quick. Food prices are awesome. Husband wanted some chips with hot sauce which they don't serve. Our waitress was GREAT and brought him tostada and some hot sauce. Food was delicious. Homemade flour tortillas This will be NEW breakfast spot.

Delicious, down to earth, dining every single time! This is our fifth visit and we have loved it each time. It's an absolute down home delicious kind of place and a truly memorable experience if you're a Selena fan. The quick backstory to the Selena/Hi Ho connection is that Selena and her family often visited this restaurant during her lifetime. Her father is still seen often dining here and known to stop and take photos with fans. Posters and pictures of the beloved local adorn almost every inch of the walls. You can't help but feel the love for Selena and her family here. And once you have a chance to eat, you realize why she loved this place. Everything is classically prepared and presented. Nothing fancy. Nothing random or misplaced. It's all Texas/Mexican and all delicious! I went with the Fajita Lunch Plate for $9. It came with Rice, Charro Beans, Mashed Potatoes, and a hearty portion of the most flavorful flame broiled Beef Fajitas I've had in a while. I gotta say, their fresh tortillas were also phenomenal. Our table destroyed these pretty quickly. My wife loved her Machacado Plate as well. Solid breakfast choice for $6 and added bacon for $2. Her plate was huge! Don't sleep on the breakfast potatoes. Might not be want you'd expect but so good. My favorite thing here though is the people! The servers, patrons, everyone. You're in the middle of Corpus here and you feel it. If you come with good energy and have the decency to chat with strangers, you'll find yourself loving this experience. It's what Selena loved to do and what we've grown to love ourselves.

I had lunch here and it is all everyone says about it, and more. I have been looking for good Tex-Mex since I moved home to Texas 9 months ago. This is Authentic Tex-Mex food. I had the lunch special Cheese Enchaladas, rice and refried beans with flour tortillas. Oh My Goodness, I didn't realize how much I missed good Tex- Mex Mexican food. This place is fantastic. The service was good even as they were super busy. The story is this was Selena's favorite place to eat. I understand why... Hi-Ho's is great and a must eat location.

The best down home cooking you will find! Best enchiladas in Corpus Christi! Give them a try!

First time here & did not disappoint. Our intention was to visit Hi-Hi on our visit to Corpus. Excellent food (very tasty) and service. More than just a mom & pop location but a destination and must visit when in Corpus. Thank you to all! We'll be back.

A family member of mine recommended this place and suggested that I visit. I went one day and got myself the Papas con Huevo plate with a taquito. Food is plain but you can always use the s&p which made it better for me. A nice portion size for what you pay, I enjoyed my visit here.

This place is very overrated. The service was very slow (not the waitress' fault) and the food was mediocre at best. They NEVER stop looking for a way to UPCHARGE a meal. In the past, they would sneak an extra charge if a credit card is used to pay. Today, they charged another 75 cents for a to-go styrofoam cup, which the waitress never informed us of. It would have been good if they spent some money on giving us real utensils instead of the cheap plastic fork to cut the crusty enchilada with. They don't seem appreciative of customers either. The cashier did not thank or ask how the experience was. They really don't seem to care. There are much better places to eat than this.

The. Best. Breakfast. Tacos. We got there 3 minutes before they opened and there was already a line to get in. How can you make breakfast tacos taste like one of the best things you've ever eaten? I have no clue. The tortilla is warm and homemade. The cheese melts perfectly into the eggs which have just enough tomatoes, onions, and peppers for flavor but aren't overwhelming or making the tortilla soggy. I tried my husband's breakfast taco with sausage which isn't my usual go-to, but it was absolutely amazing. I had the chorizo con huevos (my go-to) and thought it was average. It wasn't bad by any means, but that taco was just phenomenal. I know there's this whole debate over "American cheese", but it is so so divine on these tacos! This taco was so good I didn't even need to add salsa (which was delicious, too, btw.) I will be bringing out-of-towners to this hole-in-the-wall for the best breakfast taco experience ever. And I highly, highly recommend giving the tacos a try.

If you have given up in life, this is the place for you. I can't believe Selina would have ate here.

I'm sorry Hi-Ho, please forgive my family and I. We cheated on you and went to IHOP on SPID for breakfast, and it was a terrible experience from the start! Before we could even order, we got out of there as fast as we could and we went back to our normal place & safe haven for awesome breakfast and great service, the one and only...Hi-Ho! (Cynthia, our Waitress is the bomb! ) I promise, we will stay faithful and will never cheat on you again. Please forgive us and please take us back!

Me and my best friend ate here last Tuesday. We were instantly seated when we arrived. We ate here because it was Selena's favorite restaurant. OMG this was the best Mexican food I've ever had. I got the Mexican plate and let me tell you this plate had no chance. They gave us green chile as well on the side and it was awesome! I'm from New Mexico and I'm picky about my green chile and let me tell you their chile had a nice kick to it. Not to mention, their tortillas were freshly made! The service was also great and our waitress was attentive. It was also so great to see all the Selena portraits and paintings. I am most definitely coming back here if I'm back in the area.

We went here this past Saturday because it was Selena's favorite restaurant. We were visiting from NY to take a Selena tour for a family members bday . We went around 1pm and did not wait at all we sat down rite away. The staff was so friendly and welcoming and just so nice. We ordered a bunch of different plates. I got the Mexican plate , we ordered the carne asada and some enchiladas. We also ordered some tortillas . The food was great . I mean really great food that just tasted authentic. The tortillas were fresh and handmade . The restaurant itself was so nice with pictures of Selena everywhere . We were so glad we went here . Can't wait to go back. Thanks Ben and staff for being so nice to the girls from NY!!

We heard this was Selena's favorite place in CC, but I'm thinking things went downhill in the 26 years since her tragic death. CC is home to some of the best Mexican food we've ever eaten so the times we've driven by Hi-Ho and saw the parking lot consistently packed, we always had 'hi' hopes for great food! We arrived 11:40 on a Monday and it was already packed to where we got one of the last parking spots and tables. Service was good, but our waitress was overwhelmed because it seemed like she had the entire right side for herself to take care of. Unfortunate slow service due to food taking a long time to get out to us and the gentlemen cashier was extremely surly. Lots of better choices in CC, beginning with Yoli's, Jalisco on Staples, El Sol, Eddie's and even Linda's. My husbands cheese enchiladas tasted 10 times better than my dried jerky 'chicken fajitas' and even they weren't what anyone would define as 'great'. We used the salt shaker on everything, and it still didn't help. I will give props for the tortillas and the pinto beans weren't terrible. The 'salsa' was some of the strangest I've even tasted.

Every experience has been great, but last time there, like 2 weekends ago, my mom found a hair on her plate when she was finished and I ordered a menudo to go on a Saturday morning, like 8 am and when I got home there was burnt pieces of menudo meat. Definitely cooked the day before on Friday and gave me bottom burnt cr@p. My plate there was good that Saturday though. Maybe just a bad day? My mom has been going there forever, it's near home, never happened before.

Mandatory for all Selena fans. The food is just amazing, especially carne guisada ( Selena's favorite). We will go every time we visit Corpus
