Mangiare is the best Italian place I've been to. They have great food options, accommodation for allergies, and very relaxing indoor or outdoor seating areas. The town of Independence is so cute that I always love taking a walk around before or after a meal.
The last time I was there, July 3rd, there was a great 4th of July celebration right across the street.

My wife and I had dinner here on my 71st birthday. I had the most amazing lasagna and the best glass of chianti! Since it was my birthday, we also had the panna cotta and the tiramisu for dessert. Our waitress was the best!

Our waitress was wonderful and even helped suggest a bottle of local wine that we bought to enjoy at home which was also very good. We will be back!
