I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately the food didn't live up to expectations. I ordered the meatball sandwich and it was honestly disappointing. The pasta was very bland and lacked seasoning or depth of flavor. The salad and bread were fine, but nothing memorable.
The atmosphere feels like it's aiming for something more high-end, but it doesn't quite hit the mark. It comes across more as trying than achieving. Service was okay overall, though our drinks did come out wrong initially.
One of the bigger issues was the wait time. From the moment we sat down to receiving our main dishes was about 45 minutes, and we knew exactly what we wanted when we ordered. That felt excessive given the simplicity of the dishes.
Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but it's not somewhere I'd rush back to, especially considering the food quality and wait time.

My ribeye steak was so fatty hardly any meat. the little there was, completely overcooked! Never get the steak. And the scalloped potatoes were really horrible under cooked chunks no flavor gross. They can't even make a decent Caesar salad. Very disappointed

I had to leave this review to paraphrase what my 7yo daughter said: You know how for advertisements they add colors, glue and other tricks to make the food look extra delicious - well this place doesn’t need it!” Because when they brought the pepperoni, and Hawaiian pizzas out they were just sooo visually beautiful 😆 and cooked and seasoned to perfection. The pizza sauce, the pepperoni and the thine sliced Canadian bacon on the Hawaiian were all delightful. And the chicken fajita soup was delish. Only reason I put 4 stars instead of 5 is the croutons on the house salad (which was so dang good otherwise) were overly oily in my opinion, but even that’s just a very minor gripe. Thanks guys!

Wonderful Italian restaurant with amazing food. The calimari was tender and properly cooked. Our steaks were perfectly cooked to order and the bread was amazing.

Bella Union is such a gem in Jacksonville! My meal was incredibly tasty, fresh, and full of flavor. The staff was welcoming, helpful, and made the whole experience even better.

I especially loved the outdoor seating. the light, and vines overhead, and the cozy atmosphere made it feel peaceful and pleasant. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a great meal.

We have eaten at the Bella for years and love coming here when we are in town. We were here on a busy Friday night and for some reason they were understaffed. However, we would never have known because our server, Sam, was absolutely incredible! He never seemed stressed or rushed and our service was perfect even though every table was full. This is a consistent place to eat with great food and an awesome patio.

The Bella Union experience was delightful from the moment we walked in. It felt less like a random Wednesday dinner out and more like being treated as honored guests! ✨

The food was outstanding: fresh ingredients, full of flavor, and perfectly cooked.

But it was Tyler, our server, who truly stole the show. His energy and enthusiasm were contagious. He was attentive without being intrusive, and his timing and attention to detail were spot-on. The moment we ordered low-carb entrées, he quickly whisked away the bread and boxed it up to bring home to our carb-loving daughter.

This was the kind of meal you keep thinking about long after the plates are cleared.

My only regret? We’ve lived in the neighboring town for four years and only just discovered this hidden gem. We’ll be back soon!

To go order. The spaghetti and meat sauce was bland. Disappointed that it was not flavorful. Not worth it for the price. Friend enjoyed Angel Hair Ala Fresca with smoked salmon.
