The waitress was very friendly so she was the best part of the evening. But the heaters outside do not provide heart and the noise from the rental house made things a bit awkward. The food was expensive and they got my order wrong... the food was not great unfortunately. Probably won't be back

Loved the good o'fashioned feel of this restaurant. It was warm and cozy. Staff was delightful and accommodating. The food was delicious. We had the wild warm marinated mushrooms for a starter. The citrus thyme beurre blanc was scrumptious and it was served with sourdough bread. For entrees, I had the carrot risotto with a braised chicken thigh. Oh my goodness! It was delicious and a perfect entree to have when it is chilly outside. The waitress referred to the entree as the "perfect comfort food" and I completely agree with her assessment. My husband has the fried chicken which he though had far too much breading while the chicken was very thin - similar to a chicken piccata thinness. We ended with the flourless chocolate cake with caramel. Amazing!

I don't get it, I think that two stars is a bit generous. The steak was tough, the salmon overcooked, etc. What does it say when you eat less than a fourth of your meal and the server/owner doesn't ask if you liked it? I think that it's because she knows the answer. I have no idea how they have the ratings they have. The people are nice. The wine was really good, a local Ashland Pino Noir.

Wonderful meal, great service. Lots of good social distancing. What a wonderful experience

Great atmosphere. Outside seating so didnt see the inside. Great service. Food was ok. A little suspicious that on their limited menu the only cheaper items (burger and fries) were sold out. But the drinks were delicious. I recommend the Pimms cup! It gets cold as soon as the sun goes down so get there early. The deer on the lawn were a nice surprise.

The Carriage House is wonderful! I’ve enjoyed a few meals here, and always look forward to the next one. The cocktails and wine list are well-curated, and the food is delicious. They have extensive outdoor dining options with a beautiful view. The staff is kind and thoughtful. I highly recommend you have your next meal here!

Love ? Love, Love this place. We tend to forget The Carriage House in Jville because they are just a block or two off the main drag. But, being off the said main drag is part of the draw. They offer such a beautiful setting. You'll not find this kind of quality menu elsewhere, the food never disappoints...nor does the service. We sat out on the patio (no smoke!) and it was fabulous, out amongst the lights. We just have to remind ourselves to get there more often!

If the service was great, it would easily be a 4 or 5 star unfortunately the service made us very uncomfortable. We had Emma as our server. She stood about a foot from my face when talking to me. She asked if we wanted multiple drinks at a time, ive never been asked if i want more than 1 alcoholic drink at once, not sure if that's a bad thing? She ordered an alcoholic drink for my 19 year old sister. The first round of drinks were overly thick and sweet, we had to send them back. When we ordered food, i had to ask if there was a special, there was nothing offered. Once i asked what the special was she didn't know how much it was. She had to run to see how much it was. Our food was amazing! We had the mushrooms for an appetizer, risotto, and fried chicken and mashed potatoes. The food was perfect, good quality food! Emma never checked on us the entire time. She came back after we had ate... but never returned with our drink replacement. We had ran out of water also. We ALSO had to ask if there was desert... i felt like i was the server and i've never worked in food. We ordered 2 deserts and they both came great as well. The chocolate cake and raspberry sorbet! She returned with our drinks after our desert, at that point i didn't even have room to drink it. This experience would've been great if the service wasn't horrible. Food 10/10, Service 1/10...

Asked the waitress about recommendions, she didn't have anything. Then we asked her about the entrees and she didn't have a clue either. We just picked the risotto and salmon. Bith horrible and $31 a plate. Unseasoned and disappointing. What a waste. Also people running in and out in bathing suits because its a bnb. It was weird. Don't expect a nice dining experience.

Overpriced, unfriendly staff, not the best views. Disappointing.

We went in with an open mind...and pallet and boy were were delighted. We (4 of us) went in knowing we would order different entree's. Duck Risotto, Pad Thai, Roasted red pepper crepe, and the burger. I won't go in to great detail here. Just know this; the service was Top Of The Mark. And a big nod to Chief. Dinner was amazing. All four entree's where very, very good.We all agreed, of the of the four, the Duck risotto was the best, bar none. Simply put; it's a must order. Thank you Chief. Thank you Jake and the rest of the gang at The Carriage House..and, thank you Brent. You and the wife have put together something special! Your personal service was above and beyond. Can't wait for our next visit... SPOILER ALERT: it may be for brunch in a couple weeks. Yup.
