we came for the Prime Rib and it was very good good. wine selection by the glass was excellent. They charged for bread and it was poor. Some kind of pretend focaccia with no taste .my wife had the Beet Salad. I had the pearand Wanut Salad. Both unremarkable. a pile of bitter lettuce with the promised ingredients hard to find. basically just green salads. Presentation really poor. I would skip the salads. i was going to orderbthe shrimp cocktail but the Cost of $24 and the description put me off. i dont want asparagus and chopped egg in a shrimp cocktail. Cant we just have a traditional shrimp cocktail? Look at your clientele. amostly older people wanting traditional food. the service was not good. The older man who waited on us spilled water all over the we gotbthe desert menus and he did not come back for 20 minutes. By the time he came back, I list my appetite To make matters worse we did not get to theBritt festival early enough to park in a close lot. we had to park 1/2 mike away, lost our car in the dark and had to call The Police to help us find it. We were hoping with a 5:30 reservation we would be out by 7 pm. Did not happen. i know it was Fathers day and they are probably understaffed. Still it was frustrating not to get out when we needed to. yes, It was our fault we lost the car. but still if we had better service we would not have been put in this situation.

We had an unfortunate and expensive dining experience. The service by Cedric, and ambiance were nice, but not so the food. The highlights were the dressing on the lettuce that came with the overpriced, two SMALL crab cakes ($20.00). The crab cakes were BLAND. The pot de creme ($10.00) was delightful. A suggestion is get the food out when it is hot. After our dinner we were told that Monday is the regular Chefs night off. Wish I could leave a complimentary review as they were highly recommended.

Love this atmosphere- it's such a quintessential part of this sweet little gold mining town that we have kept coming back to eat here even though the restaurant has gone down the tubes since the new owners took over. Don't get me wrong, if the servers recognize you as someone deemed important in this valley, they may actually bring you a menu before a mandatory 20 minute wait, but if not... you're out of luck. Other than that, food is mediocre... presentation below par and taste just about average: new bistro menu is offensive to vegetarians and vegans and a rip off to carnivores.... But saddest of all , is that the charm and small town attention that was once a trademark of this place, is now only a memory...

Not a fan of the new menu they just released. Salad and bread no longer are included but the price has increased. Very scaled down menu, 1 page. Use to be pages. I understand Covid has changed things but this is sad. Food is still good but disappointed.

We were frequent customers of the bistro. Sadly the new owners have done away with the entire Bistro menu. We will miss the Jacksonville Inn. We are local residents of Jacksonville and were frequent customers of the Jacksonville Inn Bistro throughout the year.

Has a very Western town look to it. Stopped in here for dinner the other day and the staff did an excellent job of making us feel at home. The service was outstanding, and the food was amazing. The prime rib was remarkably well prepared and tasted amazing. This was the best dining experience I have had in the last two years. Looking forward to going back.

Friends and family... We just had the most amazing dinner at Jacksonville inn. The new menu and new chef Blevins, who is world renowned, is taking the culinary world by storm. Medford is the new location for the next Michelin star. From the amazing appetizers which I'm gonna call Northwest love, to the blue cheese wedge salad that reminds me of the Fourth of July, this chef is taking food to a whole new level. My photos do not do it justice but the deep wind cave experience with the ambience is well worth it. Don't forget they have a new luxury hotel suites that are already sold out so make your reservations in advance so you can experience the best restaurant in town. We have eaten all over the world and the chefs flavors are both insightful and purposeful... with not being overbearing. .....His amazing ability to pair ingredients with old world techniques of fermentation and creativity are unparalleled. We will be back this weekend!!!

It's been quite a few years since we ate here. What a massive disappointment. For these crazy prices you'd think the cooking would be superior, but it was really pretty awful. Bone dry fish, a tiny quarter piece of chicken. Baked potato which looked and tasted as if it had been microwaved the day before (and was cold). For these fine dining prices the meal should have been superlative. We didn't even take home the leftovers. (And service took forever, they were apparently shorthanded, with new staff in training.) Would never recommend.

Grew up in the area and it is a landmark. Ate there last Friday and the food was great but Service was really all over the place, our entrees were served before they cleared the salads, we had to ask for silverware. Fine dining should provide better service

Wow wow wow and wow. Food is amazing!!!! I'm not gonna lie, I'm usually pretty cheap and wouldn't spend this much on food. But let me tell you: it is 100% worth it. 100%. Everything i tried was phenomenal!!! PHENOMENAL!!! And I'm talking from appetizers to entrees to dessert to drinks. Nothing came close to disappointing. Absolutely amazing food and drinks, and after going once I am sold and will definitely be back again because it is worth it! Owners and staff are friendly, great, and knowledgeable. You can't go wrong here. An absolute must stop for food and drinks. And the history is very cool as well.

Wow! I had dinner here for St. Paddy's Day and their special was amazing. Apparently their new head chef is very passionate about curing and specialty meats. This showed through in the delicious corned beef special that I ordered. The service was spectacular with our server, Amanda, showing equal parts wit/humor and competency/timing. I had a peek at their brunch menu (drooling!) while I was there and that is definitely next up. I can't wait to come back...again and again!

We usually dine in the Bistro section downstairs (also recommended) but decided to have a finer-dining experience with some dear friends. The restaurant underwent an ownership and management change recently, so we were curious to see how it was working out. The food, ambience and service were great! The new manager (and part owner?) stopped by to visit with us, which was very nice. We had a great experience.
