What an exquisite and charming find! Who would have thought you could find a true FIVE STAR restaurant in “No Man’s Land” between John Day and Canyon City! Brenda, the owner is an amazing restaurateur. Top notch all the way. You will not be disappointed with your visit to The Snaffle Bit Dinner House!

Food was great service was great , but the only disappointment for me was the political opinion push and my broken sauce with my Tenderloin! Met and talked with the owner who is the only galley Chef and Sous Chef. Flavors where outstanding and her abilities to run that kitchen by herself is by far the most impressive performance by any Chef or owner I have come across in a very long time!!! Outstanding! Thank you! I can't wait to return! She's selling bye the way!

We had the privilege of being in John Day, Oregon during this summer's wildfire season. A fine server from another establishment in town recommended The Snaffle Bit Dinner House and boy-are we glad she did and that we went to try it out for ourselves. It was fantastic, all five within our party were well fed and more than satisfied with quality, value, variety, and flavor. Brenda is amazing!
