We chose Slack for dinner before heading to the lake for the Shake the Lake fireworks show. Spirits were high already but this small restaurant really did add to it. We took patio seating, which required a quick wipe down from the scattered showers earlier in the day. The outdoor fire pit was a good touch but really the most atmospheric point of fixation was the big beautiful mountains being unshrouded from the clouds as the skies cleared.

The breakfast menu offers a wide variety of choices. They are all excellent. Dining outside, early to mid morning, is delightful. The air is fresh and the view of the mountains is wonderful. This is a very fine dining experience.

For the food - I ordered the $36 Tenderloin steak. Ordered medium and it came out overcooked. For $36 I wanted my steak done right so mentioned the issue and waitress was happy to have it redone.
