The Cook Shack at Hentze Family Farm

So good! And such nice folks running it!!!

We feel lucky to discover this gem of a spot. The food was delicious, owners are lovely, large green space for the kids to play ball. We stopped in the store for goodies for later and sweet souvenirs to bring home. We couldn’t have asked for a better Sunday afternoon!

Wonderful place for a lazy afternoon meal with friends or family. You might have a wait for your delicious meal but there’s lots to play with while you do, regardless of age!

This has been an unexpected favorite farm for my family's fall fun! The food is beyond 5 stars, and the owners are so fun and full of information. This is definitely my extended family's new fall destination, and I both look forward to and expect an amazing experience. I wish I were closer just for the food, it's just that good!

What a gem of a place. Amazing food. Always super friendly service. Fantastic setting especially when the weather is perfect. Went last weekend, and going again today for another burger, fries, succotash 'n cornbread, and berry lemonade.

They make a blueberry ketchup that was so good.

Not many family generational farms like this anymore. I highly recommend this place!

You want farm fresh food and a secret menu like In ‘n Out? You want an atmosphere that feels like wine tasting at a vineyard? The Cook Shack is the place for you.

We go there almost every week. We love the burger, the “Polse” (amazing Swedish hotdog), fries, and drinks. The outdoor seating is eclectic and pleasant too. Patrick and Casey are amazing hosts at this area. For sure a place you should visit with friends and family.

Parking: Dirt lot near the storefront where you can buy farm fresh produce too!

We love coming out here on the weekends during the summer. We’re looking forward to eating under the big old shade trees tomorrow June 1st for opening day. We love the friendliness of this family farm, including the young ones.

There are tables outdoors but i did not see a dining room to eat inside. The day I was there, it was pouring down rain. I ordered my food and the man helping me offered to bring my food to my car so I didn't have to stand out in the rain. There's customer service for you. They treat people right. It was right before closing time for them but they had smiles on their faces and were friendly and polite. The pulled pork sandwich we ordered was so so so good!! I recommend trying it and get a lemonade too. You will enjoy it immensely! There is a family farm there too that is like a farmers market. You can buy fruit and vegetables to cook at home and eat out at the same place. Small town feeling of being in the family on the farm. It was so pleasant and made me want to go back often.
