Got the taco special and it wasn't great. Beef tasted like they crumbled a hamburger and forgot the taco seasoning.

Arrived first in what became a wave of customers (5) tables, they were just hit all at once we were seated first, we had our drink and then food order taken after all of the other customers, all 5 tables were serviced before us although we arrived and were seated first not a horrible thing, I'm no Karen but aggravating non the less) because watching the wait staff go to each table while you're patiently waiting starts to make you a little upset, we finally ordered food and I was not impressed. I ordered the OMG sandwich it was very poorly put together the ingredients weren't layered on the sandwich at all they were kind of haphazardly placed on the bread which made me have to pull it apart and reconstruct it so that i wasn't just getting bites of one ingredient but a little of everything like a normal sandwich, it was made with very dry kind of off colored looking turkey it held no particular flavor just very very bland. I ordered curly fries as the side which is an uncharge of $2.75 from "regular" fries kind of strange but I understand the cost of different items is inevitable. I Ended up paying almost $20 for my meal and it was not just not good, not something I wanted to continue to eat, and I left still feeling hungry (but for something with taste and visually appealing) that paired with the order in which we were serviced placed a rather bad taste in my mouth. My daughter ordered the French toast plate and they gave her a side of French toast instead of the platter, husband ordered the fish sandwich and said he liked it. I was really hoping for a win because it's so close to our house but it was just not a great experience.

The food was really really good. I had the Cobb salad. Everything was absolutely perfect. My honey bunny, had a burger which he enjoyed. Beer on tapa. Now, I am not a beer drinker. However, they have a chocolate coffee beer that is to die for. Oh my gosh it was absolutely amazing. Service was great. Waitress was very accommodating with anything we needed. Atmosphere is very cute and clean and enjoyable. Always support small businesses. They are the backbone of this country.

2015 review, updated 2024.I am only giving the Viking inn 1-star because there is simply not a 0-star option. Unfriendly service during Scandinavian fest is not only disrespectful to me, but disrespectful to the Scandinavian culture of kindness and generosity. It's ironic that a tavern called "the Viking inn" would have such terrible service during scandie fest 2015. My friends and I had just piled 7 deep in a bike taxi to get there and we were excited to enjoy the spirit of the Viking. So excited was I, that I gave a rocking fist pump when I entered the establishment. The salty, weathered woman tending ybar not only didn't like my genuine enthusiasm but decided to not serve me before I even said a single word. This is understandable if I were belligerent, however I was far from it (Schlitz factor was about 5 out of 10-basically sober). Let's not forget that I have visited this “establishment” before. I was served on these occasions, but let it be known the bar still gave off a vibe that an STD wasn’t out of the question if you used the restroom. Basically, what is worse than bad? The Viking inn. 0-stars.Sincerely,Steve

Got take out & it was awesome. The Viking burger with the egg on it was delicious and they even have vegetarian options patties wise. Well made, good portions.

It’s nothing special the service usually sucks drinks are overpriced average to sub quality. Nicest looking bartender I’ve seen there is maybe a 6.5-7. I had to use the atm for Chinese place next door or I wouldn’t have gone in. No one finds their favorite whatever it is at this place. They once had two eggs and biscuit and gravy for 2$. They were open to kids skipping school drinking coffee and playing keno with ash tray on the table. It was better then

We ordered out but went in to order food was good no complaints tasted like it should but one of 3 meals ordered wasn't what we ordered but they seemed very busy due to being one of the only locations open while dealing with the 3rd night of people without power in nearby cities. So I'm assuming that somehow another order and ours was mixed up. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

I got the jalapeño burger, and I was happy to see they grilled fresh jalapeños. Not a lot of places do that.
