To be honest I haven't been there since pre-internet days, but then it was a very low key very hospitable place with sincere good hearted ownership and employees. I lived across the street back then and visited frequently. Will return one day because only good memories there.
Walked in and thought the place was a dive. They proved me wrong. Everyone there, staff included, were friendly and just having a good time. Frog races and a pig pickin? Badass! Who does that? Also, ask the bartender for a Fergie.
