Gubancs has basic lunch faire. It's okay. Service is nearly always just okay. It's a nice LO place for us older people who can be casual and it's not too loud. The tipping is weird. A note on the table tells you they include 18% in the price, but when you get your bill, it is not itemized, and there is an open space to add a tip. Confusing to many, I am sure. Feels sneaky, though I don't think that is the intention. An okay place, easy to get seating when...
I had the French dip. It was the best one I had ever had. It had caramelized onions and a beautiful emmental cheese. I kept the horseradish on the side. Very cozy restaurant. Wished I lived closer!
A miss with the 40+ female servers. Maybe find a new profession. Always seem annoyed. Made us feel like we were inconveniencing them to ask for something. Younger guys and girls are pleasant and accommodating.
