What a great brunch spot! I went with a friend to celebrate a birthday and the waitress was INCREDIBLE. She was super kind and helpful, even though we did stay about 5 minutes after close she was such a doll and we were super thankful!
I got the monte cristo and wow, 10/10, best one I’ve had to date. Their tiramisu latte was also soooo yummy.
My friend got the biscuits and gravy with fried chicken and it was such a treat. The mixed sunset juice was also so great. Overall amazing service and food, excited to come back and try their desserts.
Also super thankful for the birthday dessert. So kind of them.

I live in LO and come to La Provence quite often with my family and friends. Unfortunately, today I had a deeply upsetting experience. I came by in the morning to pick up pastries, and while waiting in line, I was repeatedly bumped by the man next to me. After he stepped on my foot, I said, “Excuse you,” and he suddenly became aggressive, shouting insults at me, including calling me the “b” word and other inappropriate things.

I was shocked to say the least. The hostess witnessed the incident and alerted the manager. Sadly, this is where my disappointment deepened.

The manager, who also saw what happened, appeared to ignore the situation, remaining at her computer and not intervening. Only after I had paid and was on my way out did she approach me and offer to call the police, saying she’d be willing to provide a statement. While I appreciate that gesture, I believe the appropriate response would have been to refuse service to the individual who behaved violently and aggressively.

Instead, he was served as if nothing had happened. Watching someone rewarded with croissants after such behavior was disheartening. It’s upsetting to see this kind of conduct go unchecked in a place I’ve always considered safe and community-oriented.

Overall it was a great breakfast experience. Only 2 complaints with Bourguignon Brunch, it was 85% potato with 3 beef pieces and 1 piece butternut and needed extra horseradish creme. The Ultimate Polenta Cakes and Strawberry Pistachio Praline French Toast were absolutely delicious with no complaints.

The pastries are amazing, The brunch was very good. The service exemplary. If you have a chance to indulge in the pastries, do so. They are wonderful. Sitting outside was a bit too loud from traffic, otherwise it was a nice experience.

Their salads have ruined me for any other. The curried quinoa patty paired with the salmon patty on top is simply amazing. Great burger and fry combo as well. But the salad!! Highly recommend.

Lake Oswego location, Sunday breakfast. No smile, no welcome, no service, food was good. But staff needs better training and needs to be more welcoming to customers.

Gives off rich only vibes. Wife found plastic in her egg cheese crossaint. Must be shipped in and not baked fresh.

I love all of these locations typically. I do love the bakery items, they’re fresh and consistent across all of their locations. However we had a waiter today that added in the tip to our bill then denied it when we asked. I had to laugh to say, we would have paid MORE than the added 20% we just think it’s rude and tacky when restaurants add this on. I totally understand for big parties etc. This was not the case and we eat at this establishment often. He clearly input it into the computers. A little accountability would have made the transaction a lot more enjoyable.
