This is our family's favorite pho place. We go at least once a month. Thier Salt and Pepper squid is savory.sweet and spicy. My daughter is vegetarian and loves the vegetarian Pad Thai.
ODIOUS OWNERAlcoholic owner is abusive to his staff and customer. Stay far away from this place! We had one good experience followed multiple horrible ones. The pho *can be good, but it’s not worth experiencing the mental instability of the owner.
One of the worst places I've been! The service was horrible for the 2 time's I've been there. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to this pho lavang place.
There is not an option to choose zero stars, but if there was I would. My family and I went to have lunch at Pho Lavang on Saturday, May 6th. We ended up leaving because we were extremely uncomfortable with how the server/cook was talking to us. I would not recommend this restaurant.
The waitress was a little annoyed when I explained to her our order because my friend wanted to exchange the meatball to tripe, I just explained exchange not add, she raised her voice a little and seemed annoyed.I was surprised they serve their food in stainless bowl, I looked like a dog eating in a bowl. The soup was floating with oil, not good. Happy bowl in Ashland is lot better imho, a bit healthier. I'm not going to eat again in this Pho restaurant. Find somewhere else better.
I rarely ever write reviews (and when I do, I like to write positive ones), but I feel like people should know what happened to me, my sister, and my brain-injured mom last Saturday, April 1st, 2023. My sister and I were visiting our mom and we were all craving pho, so we picked this restaurant because it was in close proximity to our mom's place. Once we parked, and got our mom in her wheelchair, we entered the restaurant to find it empty except for a young lady making a to-go order with a gentleman at the main counter. With this being our first time here, we weren't sure whether to wait to be seated or order at the counter. To play it safe, I decided to walk up to the counter with my mom. Before we made it up to the counter, the man pointed toward the seating area and said, "Go sit over there". To clarify which table he meant, I asked, "Is the corner table by the window okay?" and he responded with "I don't care!" I was unsure of whether he was joking (it was April 1st) because he turned his back as he said it. After settling in at our table, I see him coming over with water, so I say, "Hello, how are you?" (as I normally do to any servers) to which he responds with, "Appetizers?" Taken aback, I took a moment to process the interaction and just ordered a couple of appetizers. After ordering, he rudely turns away without saying a word. At this point, I looked at my sister and asked, "Do you want to get out of here?" because the service had been completely unprofessional and unacceptable. We weren't even there for 15 minutes, and this guy has been everything but decent. Thankfully she agreed, so we took our mom and started heading out the doors. As we were exiting, we heard him shout from behind the counter: "You guys are STUPID!". Shocked, I instinctively smiled and waved, and said, "Thank you! Have a nice day!" Not even 5 seconds later, he yelled, "F*** you! You stupid b****!" My sister said that she saw him making threatening gestures to us - the one where you cross your neck with your finger. She had 9-1-1 on dial because we weren't sure whether he'd come out and do something. If I wasn't rolling my mom in her wheelchair, I would've gone in and asked why he treated us so poorly, but we decided to leave for the safety of our mom. As we were walking away, we saw a family of 3 walking in and we wanted to warn them about our experience, but as we were about to speak, a lady came out and asked, "Hey, what happened?" We gave her a brief summary and she responded with, "I'm supposed to be up at the front and he's supposed to be in the back cooking, so... please come back in!" We kept going back and forth, but she kept repeating the same thing - not acknowledging the poor service and our sad experience. After speaking with this lady, we walked towards our car and saw the family of 3 walking out, so we asked what had happened. They said that "he was so pissed that he had to close the restaurant". As we sat in the car and reflected on what just happened, we were glad we decided to leave - especially after finding out he was the cook. We did not want to give them our money AND we did not want that man cooking our food. Upon further reflection, we realize that man needs some help and should probably not be in the food service industry. I hope for the best for him and I hope he finds the help he needs. I also hope that people read about our experience, so they don't waste their time and get treated the way we did.
One of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. Food is mediocre, but the chef/ owner was extremely rude to my family. He aggressively shouted at our table that “if you don’t like it get the frick out of my restaurant, I am in a bad mood today.” We were initially also charged 6 dollars for a cup of instant coffee. After complaining they made a Vietnamese coffee. All of this inexcusable.
Think twice, before eating in this place. No wonder why they are closing doors, and trying to sell their restaurant on Craig's List.I am after a restaurant to buy and find this place on Craig's List. As they are only 3 miles, and very close to my house, responded to an ad and went to see the owner (s) to talk to them. There was a lady who showed me the kitchen. As a chef and restaurant owner, I am very particular, about how clean, or; how dirty the kitchen is. And after being in commercial kitchens for over 35 years, I absolutely can see everything. This kitchen was filthy, with tons of Health violations, and if I was the health inspector; I would shut their doors, in a matter of minutes. For example; they had some half-frozen chicken pieces, in the kitchen colander, and the juice from that was all over the table, and the floor. The floor was dirty, and you would notice, it was not moped for a long time, with a lot of garbage on it.I love Pho and was going to have my lunch over there and decided not to.Think twice, before eating in this place.
No, it's not the best pho in town it's average. Mediocre at best, why? Because there's others that I would travel to in preference. It's unfortunate that there's now only one Pho restaurant in LO. So I'll go to the SE or even Beaverton to enjoy authentic Pho.
This is the best Pho restaurant anywhere in town. Great food and environment. The owner, Lucy, is super nice and friendly.

good service, ordered salad roll and pho. Salad roll is too thick and firm. Tastes almost like rubber. Is not fresh at all. Pho is good but broth is very salty. Went here a year ago and gave 5 stars because food quality was good. Now, food quality is going down. Do not recommend.
I am posting on behalf of my friend who was briefly employed here. Please don't come here. They treat their workers terribly. For a 10.5 hour shift, there were no breaks except a lunch, and the owners did not pay as agreed upon. The kitchen also wasn't clean and the owner discouraged my friend from washing the produce properly, as to save time and money. When my friend tried to talk to the owners about the discrepancy in pay, the owners hung up the phone.
Gabage food and gabage service. Don’t waste money and time.Obviously, the noodle is not fresh and overcooked. When I ask to change for a new one, the servant objected and responded it’s just how it’s.
A great alternative to Ivy's Pho & Grill (which just closed-down). The Pho broth was yummy, and the meats were tender & delicious. Portions were very generous. I almost couldn't finnish my Super Bowl. The empty bowl says it all... I also had their grilled pork; which was tender & extremely delicious. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. I will definitely be a returning customer.
Love this place, first went here shortly after they opened at their previous location to celebrate mother's day and have been coming back ever since.Between generous portion sizes (especially the pho) with excellent taste and quality, a friendly staff that is always very knowledgeable about what is in the dishes, and open to answering your questions, and a open floorplan with good lighting. This restaurant is one of my all time favorites.I just took my Dad here for father's day this year (2022) and we had a great time once again.
