We booked a private party on a Sunday for my son’s fifth birthday party. The kids had an absolute blast on the indoor play structure and bounce house, and all the snacks/cupcakes were a hit! Communication with Jolene for planning the party was easy and straightforward and I appreciate her responsiveness. The staff members who ran our party were so friendly and attentive. Everything ran super smoothly and it was great to just be able to relax and enjoy socializing with other parents knowing all the party details had been handled.
We had a great experience at Play Boutique! We had a last minute pivot to our 6 year old's birthday birthday party plans due to weather, Play Boutique was very accommodating and understanding. They were able to squeeze us in with 4 days notice. Everything was set up when we got there and they did all the cleaning, we had to do very little work. We worked with Jolene and Yara who were very helpful. All the kids and parents had a good time. I highly recommend doing your kids birthday party at Play Boutique!
I went there for birthday party consultation and had an amazing experience working with Jolene. She was so patient and explained me every single details I was looking for.
Arrived for a birthday party planning consultation. I booked the meeting a week ahead of time. When I got there, the woman at the cafe asked me to wait a minute at a table to the side.
I waited for 35 minutes with my 4 year old, was not acknowledged a single time, and we just left. Waiting 35 minutes for an appointment we made ahead of time, not being given an explanation or any follow up call or apology is pretty bad business.
It’s too bad—I was ready to book a party as the place was exactly what I’m looking for. But if they can’t even keep a planning consult meeting or give an apology or explanation for canceling, that doesn’t speak well to how it would go for a party.
I booked my daughter’s 5th birthday party at Play Boutique, she was absolutely thrilled in the days leading up to it. Sadly, the actual experience was deeply disappointing. When we arrived, the building was completely empty, no staff, no setup, nothing. Despite having confirmed details with their staff just days before, no one had actually been scheduled to host our party I had put a deposit on. The response from both the Director and the Owner felt impersonal and lacked the empathy one would expect in such a situation. While we were refunded and offered a complimentary party—an offer that seems to be standard for anyone who leaves a critical review, the experience had already left a lasting impression that we will never forget. There are plenty of other venues in the same price range that offer better service and friendlier, more professional interactions. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Play Boutique.
I had my son's 4th birthday here this past Sunday. Highly recommend if you can do the private party if you have more than 10 kids. We had 16 kids, most were around 4 and a few toddlers. The space was amazing and decorations were great. Kennedy helped us during the party and checked in with me a few times throughout the party. Overall the parents and kids all shared how much they enjoyed the party and only having to worry about packing up food and presents at the end was worth it. Great space and layout.
My daughter had her 5th birthday here! She had such a wonderful time and felt very special. Everyone loved the cupcakes, play area, bounce house, coffee, and face painting! It made life so easy just showing up and having everything done. The staff was amazing and helpful. Such a great birthday experience.
Paid for and up to 20 kids party. Was given 8 cupcakes 14 water bottles. The rude staff blasted xmas music to the point I could not hear anyone next to me.asked to turn it down, they did and then 5 mins later turned it up again. And Paid like 40 extra for bringing our own food. Staff hid in the back 75% of the time. Not worth almost 400 at all duck these people. Then they wanted a tip? For what? Doing nothing? And we had to clean up. What did we even pay for? Wanted red and blue for our sons transformers party. They did red white and blue like the 3th of July. Tell me how an 8 top was for 20 people. They do have nice cupcakes but I felt riped the eff off. We will be using photos to dispute charges with bank. This was THE ONLY table for our party. I am so disappointed.
Honestly the best play cafe in the Portland metro area. You can easily see the play area from the cafe area so I was able to get some work done on my computer while the kiddos played. Lots of healthy snack and lunch options too.
Happy that they are finally open! Decent food options, a little pricey but then everything is these days.

Love this spot! Inspiration for my own indoor playground.
Says it is open, but no longer functioning as a play place.
Says they are open but nobody answers when I call.

I have a 2-year-old and a 3-year-old. I think this is the most engaged I've ever seen them at a place like this. Seemingly everything held their attention and they were TIRED when they left. The only possible issue could be bad weather (as is fairly common in that neighborhood)... the majority of it is outside. But we had great weather and not a single complaint.
