Si Senor Lake Oswego offers excellent Mexican food, described as the best some have ever had. The tortillas are wonderful and homemade, and the Carne Asada is awesome. Guacamole is made at your table. The restaurant aims for a slightly more upscale version of American Mexican food, with similar portions but better flavor profiles and a slightly higher price point. Features like water features and high ceilings contribute to a feeling of authenticity, further enhanced by a homemade tortilla station.

The salsa and hot bean dip are a nice starter, though some found them bland. Combo platters offer a spread of rice, cheese, salsa, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, and beans on colorful, oversized plates. Fajitas are well-portioned, with carnitas having nice flavor. The mole has a deeper color and more nuanced flavors. While tortillas on the side are limited to two, both corn and flour versions have a nice chew. Service is pretty good, with efficient servers who check on guests and clear plates promptly, though there can be a lag getting the bill during busy times. Tito’s tacos are also a recommended item.
