This is one of my favorite Lake Oswego staples. I started going here a few years ago for brunch and loved it. Now I go all times of the day. The staff are friendly, the food is great, and the space is clean/elegant inside but not over the top. You will be comfy in your spring brunch wear out on their patio. I love to stop in here for there Fried chicken, mac n' cheese, and greens!

Over priced and not that great overall. I ordered the ‘Cobb Salad’ for just under $15 for lunch recently. The salad consisted of poached egg, 3 or 4 blue cheese crumbles, 4-6 grape tomatoes cut in half and about 1 piece of crumbled bacon, 2 peanuts, a very small amount of spring greens and a vast amount of spinach with 2-4 inch stems making the salad difficult to eat. The salad was so lightly dressed with white balsamic that it was impossible to taste. This was not a Cobb Salad! It was a SPINACH salad with a few condiments that were nearly impossible to find. I will never go back to Tavern on Kruse,

First time visit this restaurant. Sitting outside with nice area, after some time, we were greeted by Server Amanda who is knowledgeable about dishes, funny and friendly . Happy hour food we ordered overall are tasty ( mushroom ravioli, tacos, Brussels sprouts ) and the winter burger is five star quality ( fresh, juicy, flavorful). We definitely want to come back again.

Had dinner last night and really enjoyed ourselves. A new place for our short list of local restaurants. Roasted beets salad with grilled steelhead was great. We sat inside but felt outside with doors rolled up. Great service but slow. Relax and don't be in a hurry.

Cocktails very good as usual. Winter burger was fantastic. My husband and I both had it and agreed. This place is my go-to spot for great cocktails and food. It can get a little noisy, but overall still love it.

It is important to support local restaurants. And I very much like what Tavern has done with their menu over the years, and efforts to engage the community such as opening the outer area (in friendlier months) and bringing in live jazz. Cocktails, and the bar in general, nicely complement the dining experience, and the noise/energy level seems always just right. But there can be some consistency issues - food isn't uniformly outstanding, and service can be variable. I applaud what they've done so far and encourage continued work on evening out the experience.

Food was delicious, and I really enjoyed one of the mock-tails since I was driving. Had a long wait until I could order another one. Wasn't the end of the world since everything else was great.

We had a fun and relaxing time. We were greeted with friendliness that wasn't canned. Our table was ready. And our server soon followed. Our appetizer was generous but not too filling. And our entrees arrived well-timed. Everything tasted wonderful. Zero complaints and thank you for such a pleasant experience.

We were seated right away for our 5:30pm reservation, unfortunately we didn't get any service until I had to walk up to and ask for service at 5:55pm. Our meals were good, not great. Service was better after I asked. We dine out 3-4 times a week in LO, and haven't been back to the Tavern in over a year, we were hoping for a better experience.

Always a pleasure trying the seasonal menu options at Tavern. Chef Nate never disappoints our group and we've obsessively followed him and the owner Kent since Uptown Billiards. If you're curious and want to test out the seasonal options and a few staples, go during happy hour! Minus it getting a wee boisterous in the evenings, we continue to have wonderful experiences with Tavern on Kruse.

ToK has been our salvation out here in the restaurant desert of the SW burbs, and we dine here regularly - most always with great satisfaction. The hub and I came last night with 2 old friends we hadn't seen in awhile - one of whom is seriously dairy averse. Cocktails: Love Potion #9 was lovely, and I say this as someone who dislikes overly fussy and/or sweet drinks; I usually stick with a Hendricks martini. Hub had a Manhattan, which he enjoyed. A nice Pinot with the meal; friend enjoyed a couple of dark beers (don't know what he ordered). Persuaded the kitchen to add a 4th duck empanada to the order; enjoyed by all, though not spectacular. Bolognese Invernale, Mushroom ravs, and the Ahi burger w/ rosemary fries were hits; however - alas - I was disappointed in my Seared Ahi salad., which I've had several times before to great delight. Warm apple cobbler and jalapeno/lime/pineapple sorbet were excellent dessert choices. Every kitchen has a miss occasionally, so I hope this review will be taken as intended. If I can offer one overall observation from the last few years of patronage, it's this: too much fussy/sweet sauces/condiments, and too much cream - simpler is better. For one example, balsamic is overused, IMO (in many establishments). Not every piece of meat or fish needs a bunch of sweet and/or rich ingredients or accompaniments. All said, of course I'll be back! Thanks for doing what you do.

We were seated right on time - big plus. Ordered appetizers, which were of average quality (steak bites over cooked, Brussels sprouts too salty) and decided not to have a main dish. Once we declined the server's inquiry for the main-dish order, we felt ignored, as the beverage (wine) service slowed down. Note: the bottled wine selection is remarkably expansive. Kudos for that!

What a fantastic spot! Ive been going to this restaurant now for many years - dinner is always on point! Today we had breakfast which was spectacular. Their pumpkin beignets were to die for. The seafood omelette was perfectly prepared and the espresso crusted brisket hash uniquely flavorful. The real star of the show at this establishment is the consistently excellent customer service!
