We've ordered pizza many times. Sometimes they forget to make it. Sometimes they say someone else took it and sometimes it's timely. We get it to go as the space is echo-y and feels like a barn. The crowd is typically the political types. But the food is pretty good!
excellent food, portion sizes are huge, and prices are affordable!
We love our gals at the bakery! Always taking care of their community and making our tummy's happy!

Downtown Cafe and Bakery is a charming and historic cafe with exceptional service. The staff go above and beyond to ensure a warm welcome and accommodating experience. The menu offers a good selection of affordable and tasty dishes, including chewy bacon, which is cooked to perfection. The cafe's atmosphere is cozy and intimate, with a few tables available for seating. It is a cool spot on E Street in a building with so much Lakeview history. The food is great and they consistently get it right, from the best BLT and fries to the best burgers in town and a delicious hot turkey sandwich. Go in and see the mural and grab a milkshake or cone made with their selection of hard ice cream. Overall, Downtown Cafe and Bakery is a highlight of any visit to Lakeview, with its friendly and efficient service making it a standout destination.
