Excellent food and drink. Fun place to play and it's family friendly.
Seriously, we enjoyed this place so much that in the two weeks my crew was in town for work we came here three times. As it turns out we celebrated two birthdays here and this place went out of the way to make that special.
We appreciated the quality of the food and the portion sizes. The bartender didn't flinch when serving up cocktails, she really turned out some tasty drinks. There are darts, shuffleboard, pool, and chess to be played. There is a stage, looks like maybe some live music at times. We did enjoy listening to some karaoke one night.
Honestly, we will be back again when we are in town. You should try it out.
Only visited the restaurant, best place in town. Went here with coworkers and our customers three times over our visit. This place is expensive but serves amazing food and drinks!
Great spot for dinner after a long day of work
If you want to sweat indoors, swat flies, and guard your super overpriced food from a dog while you eat, then this is the restaurant for you!! If you are going to charge way too much for OK food, then it should at least be a pleasant atmosphere.
This was the DIRTIEST room I have ever experienced traveling. We were looking forward to staying here during our trip from Eastern CA to OR. It seemed like the beds were just made and the sheets were not replaced from the previous guests. There was pubic hair, long black hairs, and dog hair inside the sheets, on top of the duvet, and wool blanket and pillows, sheets also had dirt on them. There was food grease all over the desk and hair clumps in the shower drain and in front of the toilet. When we complained, they said they were out of double rooms but provide us with new sheets and cleaning supplies to fix ourselves as they were understaffed. When we stripped the beds there were urine stains on the mattress, I was so grossed out by this point I wanted to leave and find another hotel. They just accepted the keys and didn’t offer up a partial refund.
I’d like to start by saying normally I wouldn’t ever write a review for a business like this, but I was blown away..
I arrived to check myself and crew in, who are based out of Klamath Falls and doing work in California for the week for our neighboring tribe, as I went inside a patron (possibly local) whispered to his buddy “man I just can’t get away from them” before I even got in the door.. (NOTE: I’m not Hispanic, I am Native) I brushed off the comment and went inside; no one was at the front desk, so I waited for about 10 minutes and noticed the paper on the counter saying to Call the Hotels phone for assistance. So I called the number and as I stood at the desk I heard the phone ring literally one time behind the desk and in the bar area, and the call was declined as the woman working was in the bar area chatting with patrons.
I waited another 5 minutes as I assumed she might’ve been busy, but still no one came to the front, so I walked into the bar to get her attention; I was able to talk with her to let her know I was wanting to check-in , we proceeded to the front desk, she asked if I was handing out keys or just taking mine I told her I could hand them out to my crew of 10 including myself. (Seemed easier then having them all come inside dirty after our 13hr shift) she slammed the desk with her fist out of the blue and says ok.
I proceed to make small talk about the place, asking how much it was a night as my organization paid for the booking. She told me 200 a night I said “oh wow good thing it’s on my bosses card” and chuckled, she offered no response. I told her “my boss wanted us here all week but we’re only here 2 nights” she replied with “Well lucky us” I really didn’t understand where this was all coming from so I got my keys and walked out, didn’t step foot in the office area again, didn’t even bother to try the food in fear of either not being served or paying the price for someone else’s spit. The vibe I got in the 15 minutes I spent inside told me everything I needed to know about how my food would be handled. There’s a preference here, not recommended. Only thing I enjoyed was the old style fridge in the room.
No need to reply as a business either, I know the area well enough, just did not foresee the “team” seem so ungrateful for such an expensive stay.($3,700 total)
If you have read this far before booking, Best Western, or the nice place next to it , you’re welcome.
Great little steak house, wonderful atmosphere and the food was terrific. If you have an evening and want a good meal with great service I recommend!
Upon arrival, we had to find someone to help us. The gentleman who checked us in was delightful. He gave us a quick tour. We went to our room, and it was ok.
We went to have dinner. The atmosphere was quirky and bar like. I ordered the steak (medium rare) and my wife ordered a pasta dish. My steak was brought to me and it was well done.
When returning to our room, we decided to go to the hot springs. It was a long walk in the cold, and we had to dodge lots of dog and geese feces.
After the springs, we returned to our room. We went to sleep. We woke up several times to a foul odor (like exhaust). My wife decided to take a shower. She took a 5 minute shower with only one minute of hot water. I waited for an hour and took an ice cold shower.
I called and left a voicemail about the situation. I did not get a call back.
We went out to breakfast and returned to our room. We packed our bags and checked out even though we had paid for the next night. We tried to take our keys back and had to search for someone. The only person we saw was a housekeeper who was clocking out. I told her my experience and how I had paid for the next day. She apologized.
Not many choices in Lakeview and for us this was the best dinner choice. We split the ribeye steak which was cooked properly. A nice meal and we could watch the geyser erupt every couple of minutes.
Everyone was extremely nice.
Steak dinner was delicious, I couldn't finish mine, the steak was half the plate! Scouted around, there's a hot spring running into a swimming pool. Rooms were very comfy, clean & relaxing. I would recommend this, in process of being refurbished roadhouse. We were on a roadtrip around 4 states. Glad we found the Neon Cowboy!

Honestly the best damn meal I have had in Oregon. Their fish tacos were PHENOMENAL.
Neon cowboy… As long-standing residents of Klamath Falls, we have been dedicated supporters of Hunter Hot Springs, appreciating its unique offerings and contribution to our community. It is with considerable disappointment that we must express our concerns regarding recent operational changes and service experiences.
Our prior patronage was driven by the desire to support a local establishment that provided both relaxation and a quality dining experience. However, recent interactions have revealed a concerning trend that we believe warrants attention.
* Diminished Customer Engagement:
* Our attempt to clarify the availability of day soak services through the establishment's official Facebook page yielded no response, despite confirmation of the message being viewed. This lack of engagement suggests a disconnect with the community and a disregard for direct customer inquiries.
* Deterioration of Service Standards:
* Our experience at the steakhouse demonstrated a significant decline in service quality. A prolonged period of being ignored by staff, followed by a dismissive interaction with the bartender, reflects a lack of adequate staff training and a disregard for basic customer service principles.
* Policy Shifts and Community Impact:
* The apparent discontinuation of day soak services, a feature that was highly valued by local patrons, has been implemented without adequate communication. This change, coupled with the decline in service, poses a risk to the establishment's standing within the community and may lead to a significant loss of local support.
Hunter Hot Springs has the potential to be a valuable asset to Klamath Falls & Lakeview, attracting both local residents and visitors. However, the recent changes and service issues have created a sense of alienation and disappointment. We believe that by addressing these concerns, the management can restore the establishment's reputation and regain the trust of the community.
We urge the management to prioritize customer communication, invest in staff training, and reconsider policies that negatively impact local patronage. We believe that with a renewed focus on customer satisfaction, Hunter Hot Springs can once again thrive as a cherished community destination.
Excellent stay and service. Nicely remodeled
Food was delicious. We ordered two ribeyes that were so flavorful n tender. The hot spring pool was very relaxing.
Chose this place to meet daughter and grandkids because it's halfway between where we each live. Didn't know what to expect but it was lovely. Hot spring nice and warm, clean comfy room, dinner was fantastic! The service was excellent. Really loved our stay Will definitely be back.
