If you are in the area, or even if you aren't, you want to eat at 1847. It's amazing food, beautifully presented, and skillfully served. There are modest changes to the menu made on a regular basis so you always have something to try. Desserts are to die for - elegant and scrumptious. Wander over to Lebanon for a real treat!
My husband had the special, which was a braised lamb shank. The presentation was great, and he said it was amazing. I had the rock fish, and it usually is a nice piece of fish, but this was small, tiny pieces of fish and way too much seasoning on it. Luckily for me, I was not very hungry. I was very disappointed being my birthday dinner and all. We will be back. It's still a good local place.
We love it here. The food and service are always wonderful and consistent. The wait staff is friendly and professional. We will continue to keep coming back and telling our friends about it. Beautiful garden area behind the restaurant. Take a little walk after dinner. Sit a spell. Outdoor seating in nice weather. Very pleasant.
