Pirate Dan is a genius with pastry. The lemon turnovers were the best I’ve ever had. Seriously. The crust was tender and the lemon filling wasFantastic. The bear claws may not look like the traditional bear claws you are used to but they were delicious - almondy with a delicate crust. Do not judge a pastry by its appearance or price. I will go back again and again just for the lemon turnover as well as to try new pastries. Thank you Pirate Dan for a fabulous morning.

I was a bit nervous after reading some of the reviews but went for it anyways. This is not a tried and true bakery as it mainly offers turnovers. We went in looking for doughnuts but our disappointment didn't last long the turnovers were phenomenal! And the owners were friendly.

This woman clearly would've rather been hanging by her toenails in an outhouse on a 110 degree day than working there when we went in. That said, they have delicious cookies, but the brownies and lemon bars were almost 4 bucks each and super tiny so we didn't even try them, and the turnovers were very flat and greasy looking so we passed on them as well. The 3 stars are because their cookies are very good. But the atmosphere is a big nope.

RUDE people! didn't even get anything due to the Rudeness and lack of goods. So I went to Safeway and bought some delicious doughnuts. Now that was good

They don't have very much to choose from this was way before covid , no donuts or cool sweets, got ripped off I think on some brownies , was not impressed at all

Obsessed with this bakery. It is so cute and the bacon cinnamon rolls are to die for. Whenever I drive the Oregon Coast I always make sure to stop here. It isn’t fancy but it is super cute and the baked goods are delicious!

We asked for a latte, she said no problem, then heated up some drip coffee in the microwave. No way this was voted best bakery.

The cheesy Fruit and just fruit turnovers and coffee cake was simply superb. Tasted like home baked pastries. Definitely going back.

The treasure cookies I had tasted like they weren't baked fresh. Maybe a few days old. Not much of a selection. I had great expectations due to the voted best bakery sign.

We got 4 pastries for $20. Turned out they were all raw. The pastry was not cooked! Terrible selection overall, and what they have is not good. Sad day at the coast :(It's worth noting they did promptly refund our money, but not our tip.

We got some cookies and a very watery marionberry pastry that dripped all over my daughters new sweatshirt. The cookies were fresh and tasty. Here is the thing, There were gnats flying all over the place within the case ( And I am practically blind so they must have been huge) The place had an overall dirty feel the more I looked around. Because of Covid we had to leave out the back door where I saw a glimpse of the kitchen. If it were cleaner, I would go back.

Friendly enough staff and glad to see they were wearing masks. But- the whole place is dirty and so cluttered. The pastry case looks like it's not been cleaned in a while. The worst was the gnats or little bugs all over inside the pastry case. The turnovers look especially under baked. I tried a lemon bar because it was the only thing wrapped in plastic to protect from the flies. It was mediocre and overly sweet. Would not recommend and would not come back.
