Best PANKO type crust fish and chips. Servings match prices, IOP, but the quality is top notch!

This is a perfect ocean-town fish and chips "hut" so don't go in thinking a sit down restaurant.

We have been coming here since they opened and we saw the fisherman loading fresh fish into the back door. It has kept its quality high, even during the time of price gouging by corporations.

Pros: crust is AMAZING, we are done with the beer batter/tempura type breading because it is usually thick and greasy and it seems like they are trying to hide small pieces of fish in the batter. Quality of the fish is high! Never greasy. Coleslaw is good old fashioned creamy slaw, we enjoy it. Chowder has had a few incarnations, today's was a thinner, creamy type. I like that style but my husband enjoys a bit thicker. It's tasty but sadly I didn't even get one clam. ?

Cons: Fries are frozen not fresh cut, but we enjoy this type if they *have* to be frozen. Starter sauce is a bit tangy, feels like it might be purchased not homemade(?)

Everything tasted very good. Quick and friendly service. Fine establishment. Very clean and cozy. Didn’t prompt for a tip at checkout. Expected to follow rules and common courtesy of cleaning up afterwards.

That being said, there are a few rules written at the entrance and also behind the counter. The tone of the rules and repetition sets you in a conscious mood.

Not a ton of atmosphere to thos place but the food makes up for it. Best clam strips and fish I have had in ages.

Kid-friendliness: Very limited seating in restaurant. We always get ours to take back to motel not far from there. Lacks ambience, view, congeniality. We count on their good food.

I feel bad being this honest but we left feeling upset about wasting our money. We got the $12 4 piece combo and a $7 bowl of chowder. The chowder was 16oz but tasted and felt like flour and almost had zero flavor. Hands down the worst chowder on the coast. There were about ten little cubes of potato and nothing but thin broth. The fried fish/shrimp were actually very tasty and perfectly cooked but the meal would barely have fed a child. Smallest portions I've seen in a restaurant. I guess that's why it was affordable? Cute spot, friendly staff, quick service.

Decent by 1990's standards fish and chips but not any less expensive and substantially smaller portions than competition. Everything is an upcharge. Want another tiny cup of sauce, that will be $.50. drinks are small. Hostile signs everywhere declaring if you are not allowed to use their trash if you ordered take-out. Lady behind the counter seemed 51% nice 49% will fight you. Never coming back again. If you want expensive outdated fish and chips cooked by authentic Mexicans this is your place.

I'd give them a 10 if I could. This is our favorite spot to get fish and chips. We have never left not being satisfied. Halibut basket extra crispy is the way to go.

The halibut was dry and fishy…..there were about 10 French fries and the clowslaw was about two teaspoons Never been so dissatisfied with the order after trying to enjoy a recommended meal on the beach.

Very good fish and chips. No ocean view or view of the bay but good fish at a good price.
The clay chowder is okay but not great. Why not get a better recipe for clay chowder. That shouldn't be difficult. We go there often because we like the fish.

Where do i begin with this one...
I suppose going in order, so first off the menu online is outdated even though it is call in for take-out only. When we asked about the fish taco basket, we were told it had 3 similarly to the 6 dollar lunch but with chips rather than a drink. Upon receiving only 2, I questioned the information mistake and was told we could buy more to make up for it. Next, the clam chowder was more like a watery potato soup, which I couldn't actually find any clam meat.

Lastly.... my blonde wife found a short black hair in her food, so needless to say, this will be our last time here. I hope they fix it up for people who enjoy coming here.

Delicious food, loved the clam chowder. I got the breaded 7 shrimps basket with curly fries and coleslaw. I ordered to go and food was ready in like 10 minutes, friendly staff, it was a good spot to hit up as a first timer in this town

Parking: Parking is accessible but I think I went at a time when it wasn’t that busy anymore. So be mindful of parking if eating there.
