Most people would review a restaurant based on its food and the service that they received, but I have a little bit of a different experience at Kyllo‘s. My husband and I were there recently for late night dessert and while we were there, a staff member dropped a glass and it shattered on the floor. Immediately three other staff members came in to help no blame no razzing just being helpful. They have a great team there at Kyllo’s and it really shows in that one interaction. I will definitely be back!

We’ve waited 30 years to visit - and never been able to make it happen before now. Worth the wait for our anniversary dinner! Thank you for celebrating with us!

The crab cakes where not the tasty, and the sauce was bland. The the price, it was not worth it
.could have tasted better.

Their happy hour at the bar is a great option, though when busy, has limited space. My server/bartender Chelsie was so pleasant and attentive. Very friendly with a great smile and fun to talk with. This is the best restaurant in Lincoln City, and while pricey, their Happy Hour is very reasonable.

Conveniently located next to the D River Wayside with beautiful ocean views and consistently good service.

Unfortunately, food is average at best with above average pricing. Nice place for a cocktail though.

June 2022 Update

Stopped in for a bite to eat - not expecting much ...but was pleasantly surprised. Changed review from 3 to 4 stars.

Their spinach artichoke dip was once average, at best - bland with store bought chips - is now delicious. Flavorful and cheesy served with thick, fresh made chips that are great on their own. Crab cakes (with sauce on the side) were very good as well. So much better when not smothered in sauce.

Service is always good at Kyllo's and this time was no different.

Fresh food with a great view!
We had the Wagyu cheeseburger with The Best Fries EVER!! Burger would have been even better with bacon..
Great temp of both burger and fries which were full of flavor!
10-15 minutes: wait time for fresh food!
Plenty of easy parking. Arrived there when it opened, 11:30am.
Service was welcoming and attentive.
And the atmosphere is clean, calm, & cozy. We really enjoyed watching the birds and waves with every bite. Great value for $21/meal by the beach!

We tried the potato chips and the risotto, which were amazing. The crab cakes lacked flavor and were a bit dry, and the fish was slightly overcooked. The surprising part was the 20% gratuity that was added to our take out order, which isn’t something I have seen anywhere.

I had the pleasure of joining a company holiday party recently and was really wowed by all the Kyllo’s had to offer. I’ve grown up in newport and in times (way) past I had just been whelmed with the food here. But this time, the food, atmosphere and service all knocked it out of the park- especially considering how large our party was. A special thank you to one of the servers Tilly who was exceptional; very attentive, friendly and professional. Thank you Tilly!

I’m really sorry, but I can’t recommend you anymore. I had a real nice server on the phone ordering a halibut sandwich to go.
I was excited to receive it but I received a slop in a box- an untoasted sandwich on a super soft, soggy bun sitting on top of wet coleslaw- not even parchment, The coleslaw that was slopped all around the box and just dumped in there right in the box w plenty of pepper and no salt-. There were no forks so we got them later… What a mess! What’s happened to your prep folks? Common sense tells you if you’re gonna have a fish sandwich why don’t you toast the bun instead of having a soft bun with a greasy piece of fish on top of wet coleslaw?
We barely got it open, and there was coleslaw on my phone on my slacks and the coleslaw, which is really wet and tasteless was essentially leaking right out of the box. Let me instruct you if I may, you wrap the sandwich in a separate container in fact, you wrap it and put it in a box and you put the coleslaw in a separate box or cup then you put them both in the bag. Then you put utensils in- It’s so easy that even a caveman can do it. But the cook, can’t. I spent time later trying to find some other place to go for a fish sandwich so I could go elsewhere next time.$32 and tip was a big disappointment.

Really great food and service. Downside a bit is the noise level. Sound deadening on the ceiling and the walls would really help the conversation and music noise level.
