McMenamins Lighthouse Brewpub

Here from out of town to work in the area for a few months. Decided to have lunch and get my passport stamped… that’s the first & last time I’ll go to this location! Service was slow, although there were only 3 other people in the bar area. Ordered a salad, it came drowned in dressing… a sloppy mess. I waved down the waiter to say “I’m sorry, I should have asked for the dressing on the side, there’s way too much, I don’t want this.” The waiter replies “Well that’s how it comes.” No offer to exchange for a new salad. No offer to return the menu and let me choose a different dish. So I say “ok well, I don’t want it, I’ll take my check.” After another wait, I finally get the check and am charged for the gross salad I did not eat! I paid and left… I will NEVER RETURN.

Service sucked, good luck to whoever is managing this place

Service sucked. Couldn’t even get an acknowledgment. We just walked out. Moral was low, go here if you like wasting your time

Ordered 3 different items and each item came about 15 minutes apart. The waitress said just like fine dining as an excuse. Pretty sad really. This was in the evening and was a bit busy but not that busy. Seemed like help was more interested in talking than doing their work. Won’t be bad. Ruined a special night

Very good food. Staff was friendly. Prices were a little high. They had gluten free pizza crust options and gluten free burger buns.

The wait staff was just phoning it in. They didn’t ask for our drink orders until we prompted them. They messed up my order twice, then mine and my wife’s were cold. It seemed clear that the place was poorly managed and operated by friendly but incompetent kitchen and wait staff.

What can I say. It was not a great experience. The food was food. It took forever and it was cold. The staff seemed extremely “green” and unfamiliar with all aspects of their job. If you just need food and there is nowhere else to go, you can eat here.

Disregard any good reviews of the Mac N cheese. You can make something better at home with a box of Kraft. Restaurants should offer better food than what you can make at home and for once in my life McMenamins let us down to the point of painful laughter at how shockingly bad the food was. Atmosphere was incredible as always can be expected and the waitress was 10/10 amazing. But the food? absolutely no speck of seasoning on the Mac, the steak tasted like a Denny's steak with also no seasoning, and the prices for these items? I'd be happy to pay $60 for food if the food was worthy of $60. I'm so saddened to have to leave this review, I hope they get better because McMenamins is hands down one of my all-time favorite restaurant chains. Maybe their strength is in seafood, I surely hope so. The saving grace was the service, but still not enough to account for a 2nd star. The food was that bland. I don't even cook regularly and yet somehow I can make a pretty mean Mac n cheese and steak and a restaurant chef can't? Damn.

Food was excellent, had pizza and crab mac n cheese, so yummy! Drinks were amazing, had a mai tai and tasted awesome! Great friendly service!

Great vibes and a lot of selection for food and drinks

Really disappointed with the attention given this evening. Waitstaff was dismissive, took 15 minutes for someone to take my drink order on a slow Sunday evening. Felt as though they saw the passport, and immediately assumed I wouldn’t order anything. It appeared that the staff took the attitude from the manager on duty, who also saw me but didn’t take my order nor acknowledge me.

Great atmosphere. Friendly locals / bar customers. Would try again but not on a Sunday night. Didn’t rate the food since I didn’t eat.

The pizza was good but took over 45 minutes to get a lunch pizza. They must have forgotten or burned the first one. The beer was good. We caught a $14 dollar overcharge. Mistakes happen, but between the very slow pizza and overcharge I'm afraid a 2 star is a fair review.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meals! We were tired and wet from a day hike and stopped in for our dinner heading home from Tillamook to Waldport. Service was amazing food was so good! Had the Diably Chicken, Turkey with Cranberry relish on wheat, and Fish sandwich. All three were amazing, as the three of us shared! Drinks were great and fair prices!
