***update 6 yrs later, yes the sushi is that good we have continued to come here but dropping a star. Very frustrated that it is walk up only since covid, when it is bad weather and nowhere to go, you end up eating in your car and sushi in the car is not good. Also about 50% of the time they aren't open. I call and call, no notices anywhere until you drive there and sometimes they have a hand written note on the door. Would it hurt to update your voicemail? They also will sell out of their supply and regularly close around 2 or 3pm they said. Very nice owners and still great sushi although too much crab salad filler.Mom and pop owners are so nice and welcoming. The food was extremely fresh and the peppered tuna was to die for. We will be back for sure. We are sushi snobs and this passed the test. Love!!!!!!!

This is the best, most fresh sushi I’ve ever had.It is delicious with generous portion sizes to make you very happy.The owner is a treasure and is well-loved by the community.When I used to live here we got take-out from here all the time.Since COVID there is no more indoor eating (as of Feb/March 2023) and the menu changed slightly from what I remembered.But the food IS STILL DELICIOUS!!If you’re in-town you should definitely try it!As a now-vegan the farmer’s roll was also much better than I had expected.I just wish there were more vegan options!

This place is just what Lincoln City needs. It's now take out only, but don't that keep you from ordering. My family had the miso soup, spicy tuna roll, California roll, farmers roll, and scallop roll. All were so good that I forgot to take pictures before they were gone. The woman taking the orders was very polite, helpful, and very genuine. We will be back.

We visit the coast every 3 weeks. For the past month & 1/2 they have been on vacation so we were disappointed not to try their food. We finally made it yesterday, we had the regular Yatai sashimi + scallop roll + the super spider roll. Everything was absolutely delicious ..To go only. When they run out of fresh fish they will shut down. We told the young lady that we would be back on Sunday for lunch since they are only open for 3 hours, she said we will not be open as it is my mother’s birthday. I love it when a business takes charge of their products, schedules and puts personal issues ahead of everything else. Just love this place.

Rude service. Every single roll has crab salad or Mayo and they will not let you customize for dietary restrictions. When I recommended they have some rolls without Mayo she yelled at me and said their restaurant is too small. Nigiri is over priced. Everywhere else it is <$5 per order here it was $6.50. Can’t sit down

Delicious & inventive sushi rolls. The Yatai & Crazy J rolls are wonderful. Even the marinade for the cucumber salad was so delicious we saved it & chopped & marinated more cucumbers. Eat here if you get the chance!

Excellent sushi...Yatai Roll...gotta get itVery nice, and totally focused on qualityTake out only, and check the hoursThey only buy enough fish for the day, so it's possible they'll run out on a busy day...go a bit early or take your chancesIt was a 40 minute wait to get our order, but never fear, Pier 101 has the bar you want to wait in...but there are a bunch of choices within a few minutes
