Christine decided to close the bar at 7pm on a Saturday night. I sat down at 6:50 to order 2 bloody mary’s for my fiancé and I. The first thing I was greeted with was ‘you’re gonna have to slurp these down fast because I am leaving early and closing.’ I was shocked by how unprofessional that is. She serves us our two drinks and then says ‘I’m not getting all the vegetables out right now.’ At this point I thought she was joking. People order bloody mary’s for the vegetables most of the time. And the worst part was being charged 35 DOLLARS FOR TWO DRINKS. THIRTY FIVE. I have never once in my life tipped ‘0’ before tonight. I am shocked at how completely lazy Christine is. And how downright unprofessional she is. I had friends meeting us there for drinks and we had to tell them to not waste their time nor money. I will absolutely never return. I used to be a bartender and I am certainly not a sensitive person. It was so awful I thought it was a joke.

I've lived in Lane county since 1999 and today was the first time I ever had lunch at Franks. It was delicious. I didn't toss any cold ones back, but the lunch was amazing. I ate the patty melt and I loved it. It will make a mess of your face and hands, but its worth it.

Broke down on my way to Florence late one night, and stumbled into a place I’ll never forget.

Frank’s was still open. The manager saw I was stranded and didn’t hesitate, offered me something to drink, something to eat, even a jacket to wear while I waited for a tow. Shawna let me use the landline and WiFi to deal with my insurance, no questions asked, no attitude. Just kindness.

I didn’t expect that level of generosity, not from a stranger, and honestly, not from anyone in today’s world. But it reminded me that good people still exist. I’d never stopped in Mapleton before. But next time I pass through, I will. I’m sitting down for a meal, and I’m leaving the biggest tip I’ve ever given.

If you’re looking for a place that feels like home, like family, even when life’s gone sideways, stop in at Frank’s. And if you do, tell ‘em Jameson says hi.

On my way to Florence my friend and I stopped in for a bathroom break and a bite. I have a service dog. Upon arrival a customer at the bar looked at me and said “what’s your disability” after telling him I had a neurological condition (which was actually none of his business) the bartender proceeded to tell me no dogs. My dog was wearing
His vest and I proceeded to tell her I could give his papers. They said the owner said no dogs and no service dogs. They turned me away. Even with offering everything needed for my medical alert dog. We were denied service. A kind woman followed me out and told me
She was sorry and knows it’s illegal for them to do that. Very disappointed, I understand there is a stigma. However I did not choose this for myself and I try to be a normal person. This felt isolating and discriminatory.

Outsiders might think this is some rough and tumble bar, but it is always clean and well kept with pleasing bartenders and great drinks or food. The staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy and domestic... unless it'd karaoke night. Fortunately, it gets a little crazy, with frenetic singers shouting into a mic on those nigts. Great times! ?It is one of the best places to go to eat a burger with some booze if you live in Mapleton. The amazing staff are accompanied by (mostly) amazing patrons. If you're looking for a place to get your party started, since they're rarely open past 1am, you'll find it at Frank's.

Parking: On busier nights, parking close to the entrance may be difficult, but there is a very large parking area by the highway if there's no open space. Also, there is a back entrance with stairs that has about 8 or so parking spaces.

Kid-friendliness: No kids are currently allowed inside of Frank's.However, there are plans to expand the pub and include a small restaurant. Stay posted.

Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchairs can enter through the front entrance, as the back entrance has stairs.Due to concrete bumps in the parking spaces, wheelchair users may have to enter on either side of the strip.

I read the previous reviews on how good the fish & chips were and decided to order it. I guess it depends on the day of the week and who the chef is but my batter dip was gooey and not done. I won’t order this dish again. This is a fun place to go, friendly people just having a good time. Worth the stop in for a visit just order something else besides the fish & chips
