We have been eating at McGrath's in Milwaukie since they first opened. The food was always delicious because we chose from what we saw on the blackboard.. Fish should not smell fishy and theirs never did. I want to come back but we had 2 bad experiences, both times to was my beloved prawns, they smelled like ammonia, tasted like it too. The manager was polite and let me order anything. I chose a comparably priced item, the pan sauteed oysters. YUMMY. One more chance. I hope they can fix whatever problems they are having, this is a good restaurant, it's nice to have fresh seafood right in the neighborhood & at reasonable prices.

We ordered 2 fish and chips and a Calif avocado burger. A couple shrimp and crab cocktails and three lava cakes.....the fish and chips were ok but no tarter sauces?? And the lava cakes were old and dry. I mean very dry. We spent 96$ on our dinner. It was a splurge we don't do often .I just expected more. My nephew said his burger was great!

Called ahead & was told it was very slow so no waiting. When we got there, the wait was over an hour! Theey should have expected this on veterans day when they had a special for vets. Ruined my husband's day by not being prepared & able to accommodate those dining out. Went somewhere else so hubby didnt get his fish

This place is the one I like best. I visit many restaurants but to this place I go the most. The crew is very friendly and the food they offer is so good. I never miss an opportunity to have a nice dinner in this place. Highly recommended.

My daughter wanted to treat us and called to place the order from Colorado. My granddaughters and I were really looking forward to this meal after we checked out the menu. We were staying at the Clarion about 3 miles away and had delivery via door dash. Food was cold upon delivery. No napkins or plastic ware, or salt and pepper were the bag. The little one had fish and chips but there were no chips. There was a cup of pasta so I assumed that was the replacement. The other grand had steak and prawns and the steak was burnt. I had the seafood platter. The food was bland, soggy, all tasted the same. After I found the third black hair in my plate I stopped eating. Maybe it was an off night but we were seriously disappointed ?

If I had the option I'd give McGraths zero stars. I took my family to dinner tonight they've never been there before and we were celebrating our daughter's graduation celebration. We had this lady take our order and we never saw her again. We then get this guy waiter who brings us our food and then he disappeares forever. We couldn't get service at this place. My food order was messed up, just an overall crappie experience. They did nothing to accommodate our bad experience only offered a sorry about that. We will never ever go back to that place again, and we'll definitely never refer anyone to go there.

The service was good . Our server was friendly and prompt. The fish in the fish and chips orders was just not so good. Nice atmosphere. Will give it another try because it's normally very good.

We ordered four crab Louie salads an hour ahead of pick up. 10 minutes before arriving at the restaurant they contacted us and said they didn't have the crab yet. After, I notified them how we were unhappy about this, and they made it right by giving us a credit for a future meal. When a restaurant makes an attempt to fix a problem, I think we need to appreciate it. We will go back.
Good food and service. Seats were six feet apart and wait staff had masks. Tables marked if they were clean. My son loved his kids mc and cheese. I didn't realize until later I was charged more for the kids meal than was written on the kids menu. So be aware and check prices.

The food was good,but they are not serving the same good bread or the same amount anymore. It would be more sanitary if they used paper placemats on the tables so you don't have to put your silverware on the bare table. YUK! Also had to ask for plates for our bread. Brought the bread & nothing to put it on. Doesn't make you want to go back soon!!!

Nice fresh fish taco with Oregon caught wild cod. Amazing herb crusted salmon salad. Huge! Friendly service, would recommend.

We had dinner reservations for my husbands birthday and once our waiter Winston took our order we never saw him again. We ordered drinks and he did not come back to ask if we wanted to order another. We told him it was a birthday dinner but it was never acknowledged, however he stood six feet away from our table singing Happy Birthday to that table and then proceeded to stay and talk personal stuff for ten minutes. We were never asked if our food was satisfactory and we even had to ask another waiter to find him when we wanted to check out. Clearly this waiter needs some lessons on how to take care of customers. He made a birthday dinner occasion less than enjoyable

I understand that with Covid service is limited. I don't feel that is an excuse for horrible table service. We had a 7:30pm reservation and were seated more than 10 minutes late after people who just walked in with no reservations were seated before us. Our waiter was terrible and only showed his face a total of three times. Once to take our order, to deliver the soup and salads and then to give us our bill after we had to ask another waiter to grab it for us. He seemed very attentive to another table and I know it wasn't because he was too busy. There were plenty of wait staff running around and the restaurant was not at capacity. We felt completely abandoned by our waiter. The food was good, just slow to come out.
