Puddletown Bagels - Milwaukie Station (SE 21st Ave. & Main St.)

I’m so done with this location. The staff are rude and unprofessional. Last weekend I walked up to the counter and the girl had her leg and foot propped up on the counter. Seemed annoyed from the beginning she had to take my order. Then the bagel was smothered in cream cheese to the point it was really gross.

Awesome bagels with a generous portion of spread.

So good! 10/10. So happy. Yummm

The food quality is typically inconsistent. The past couple times I’ve ordered from here, there has barely been any cream cheese on the bagel. Overall disappointing and not worth the money.

I was surprised to see the lower reviews when I went to order this morning. This has been our go-to bagel place for years . We have tried other places and this is still our favorite! I love the tomato herb cream cheese and my fiancé loves the jalapeño. We love that bagels are soft and chewy, not hard. We do order online every time so maybe have avoided things that way based off the reviews I read. We like they have veggie sausage as well for those vegans/vegetarians.

These are the best boiled bagels in Portland. Always reliable, always delicious. Seems some others had a bad customer service experience here, but that’s never been my experience. Don’t let a low rating due to a few negative reviews fool you, you won’t find better bagels in the area.

Ok. This was a pretty confusing experience, so I'm just gonna write it all out so other potential patrons can understand what to expect from this establishment.

My mother and I showed up to the Milwaukie Puddletown bagel cart around 10am and the open sign was on, but the window was closed with no line in front. We approached the window, and after a little time had passed the employee in the food cart begrudgingly opened it up and asked us what we wanted.

I looked at the menu and asked for a dozen plain bagels. The employee glanced back for a moment and said "Sorry. All we have is seven. Too bad."

I thought this was a weird way to respond, but I just kinda brushed it off and said "Ok no problem, we'll just take 6 plain then."

At this point the employee started yelling and pushing drinks off the counter towards me and asking if I didn't just want to buy them all. I told her it was okay we would just take the six.

She started ranting about frequencies interfering with people's minds and continued knocking drinks over and pushing them over the counter towards me while I tried to finish paying for the order.

After some struggle to pay (due to the drinks being pushed towards me by the employee), she slammed the window, threw the bagels in a bag, and shoved them at me before shooing us away.

I have to say that without a doubt this was the most horrible customer service experience I have ever had not just in Milwaukie, not just in Oregon, but in America.

I'm not sure what's going on with your employee at this establishment, but please get them some help; they seem like they are having some personal issues to say the least.

Frequent this establishment at your own peril. Better to just pick up some bagels at the grocery store IMO.

This is the first time we've had a bad order, and the first time ordering from this location. The sea salt bagel they just sent us was only half proofed(and perhaps never boiled).

Needless to say it's a tough little rope covered with salt.

Vegetarian options: They have hummus and vegan cream cheese, but I'm not sure about the bagels being vegan, but most if not all are vegetarian

Food tasted stale and cookie was dry and crumbly, onion bagel was burnt and sad, and also the salmon had odd coloring in it I would not order from here again there are plenty of other good bagel shops that are better

Believe the bad reviews. Hit and miss customer service. Literally got what looks like a prison-style bologna sandwich. I won't be back. A black eye in an otherwise great cart pod.
