Really enjoyed the sliders and tacos! We even took a side of Brisket to-go it was fantastic. Service and staff were great. Sides were on the small side portion wise, but the flavor was great! My wife and I will for sure be back.

I have been looking for a place close to home that had brisket as good as it is in Tuscan and this place surpassed what I was looking for. Absolutely amazing the brisket just melts with flavor and juice and the potatoe salad and mac was sooo good I Will return to try the rest of the menu. I'm also glad I don't have to keep searching. Thank you guys for making the best food ?

Some of the best BBQ and sides I've had anywhere.
They have several options for smoked meats as well as very delicious side dishes.
Their BBQ beans are the best beans I've tasted in my life. Do try their cornbread muffins, and of course those are even better when dipped in the beans. I think they use masa flour in the cornbread and it's absolutely delicious.
The folks who run the place are very kind and friendly and the dining area itself is nice and clean as well as comfortable. They do have some outside seating as well, which happened to be downwind of the meat smoker when we went and it was glorious.
They make their own house-made sauces and they're very nice, and I look forward to another chance to try more menu items at the Smoking Jay!
Really wasn’t expecting much out of BBQ in Portland being from the south, but it was really awesome! No complaints anywhere from the incredible staff and owners to the food! Really great and would definitely recommend!

The family run team at the Smoking Jay put together a fantastic spread of food for a customer jobsite lunch of 30 people that was a huge success. Food was ready early and brought to my vehicle and on point . Lots of positive feedback from the job site crew on the meats (brisket, pulled pork and chicken) and sides (Mac and slaw). Top notch experience!

We always like to try new places. The meat was tender. We tried the brisket, pork belly burnt ends and smoked chicken. Everything was juicy and tender. The flavor could've been a bit more but still good. The sides we had the Mac and cheese, corn bread, baked beans, and the potato salad. The sides were good could've used a bit more salt but good none the less. The staff was great and the area was clean. Small but very cute love their decor and mismatched dishes.
