We stopped in on our way home and were seated right away. Our server Selina was fantastic. My drink never hit the bottom, she checked in regularly, always had a smile. She needs to be given a raise. You can tell when a business takes care of their employees because everyone working smile and appear to enjoy working there.

My husband and I have had several great visits to the Markum Inn, but unfortunately that wasn't the case with our most recent dining experience.
We ordered the onion rings and the rib eye chili fries, which were both tasty and generous. Good beers and cocktails, and we had an energetic, attentive server.
However, this time, they were out of the usual Coleman Ranch offerings, but we trusted that they would do an excellent job of the grass...

It has changed more than just owners since then. This place is serviceable but a far cry from what it was. I came for high quality, local meat in a warm and inviting atmosphere. That's what it used to be. It's more bright light bar food now. Again, it's fine, but i wouldn't drive an hour for it, which is exactly what I did.
The side salad was fresh and crisp and the service was good....
