I did a u turn to stop and eat here . I really like small Mexican style restaurants and eat at them often. I am rating Vaquero as three stars as my experience was just average. I did not receive a glass of water which I really wanted . Yes I could have flagged down the wait person who was busy at the time. Or he could have seen my empty water bottle which I hoped to fill. I further can describe a meal as do I want to take the leftover portion home or leave it . I did not take anything home. I realize people are trying to make a profit at a business. I also am looking for a tasty meal for my $$$.

Excellent food, nice variety for a small taqueria, hidden gem just off of hwy. 213 - recommend the tacos queso birria, very good.
